As I am rediscovering myself during this time, all I am reminded of is the importance of being true to yourself. Be yourself, unapologetically. Listen to your needs. Nourish your soul. Never deprive yourself of sunlight and the light you carry within. We are all so flawed but so beautiful. Carry yourself with the strength to embrace the kindness this world has forgotten. And love, love with every fiber of your body, push past our social media limitations of superficial romance and dig deep and do so selflessly, love as if your life depended on it because it does. #lessonsoftheday #currentreads #journalingisgoodforthesoul

A Different Outlook
Today, I re-learned that everyone is going through their own struggle. It might not seem that way to the outside view, but once you start sharing ideas, and speaking about personal topics you tend to notice. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Don't sweat the small stuff for your micro issues are nothing compared to the person who might be standing next to you.
Things I learned today:
1. Attending law school and being a lawyer is equivalent to my hell. I just could never…
2. If you are a skinny blonde, you will attract every guy no matter your personality or demeanor. Guys will put up with ranging b*tches or complete bores, just to have that skinny blonde arm candy. Poor Brunettes, we never had a chance.

My Morning Coffee and...
Every morning upon arriving to work (usually an hour late) I like to start the day with a beverage, and some educational reading (wsj or ft). After I’m up to date on current events, in comes my guilty pleasure; perusing anything written for guys pertaining to relationship advice. Some girls love Perez, TMZ and People, but I enjoying articles that are written for men; subject: how to get women. Just as Mata Hari did, I too need to get close and study the opponent. Today I came across this gem about 'How to date attractive women.' In short it says; Treat her like she's nothing special, Don't hit on her, Tease her, Talk about her interests and passions, Don’t compliment her, Tell her she’s not up to your standards, Wait a little to call her, Don’t push for sex, Run hot & cold & Keep her guessing.
While I actually agree with the majority of these (minus the ‘not up to your standards’ one), it takes a clever, confident man to successfully pull these off without looking like a complete and utter a-hole. While women don’t like nice guy pushovers lacking a backbone, they don’t want a complete douchbag. The fine line is being witty and charismatic, yet ultimately a nice, genuine guy. Use the above tactics as what I call, ‘verbal foreplay’, and it will most likely work every time. Think mysterious and enigmatic; don’t play hard to get, be hard to get, but not a dick. This will also work for women, but then if two play this game, someone will eventually need to cave, or just tango for life :)
