Sadly, I canβt find who did it first, but cute idea for teaching the aleph bet. Let kids form words or familiar prayers and sound them out. Match words to pictures, toys, or people.Β

This post connects the classic literature of James Baldwin to modern day issues/art. Β The idea would make a great foundation for a lesson!
Ecosystem Soda Bottle Project
ThisΒ βsoda bottle ecosystemβ project was something I actually did when I was in elementary school. It was one of my favorite memories from elementary school because it was so interesting to watch my own homemade ecosystem grow. My class started by cutting a soda bottle and then by filling the top portion with soil and the bottom with rocks, seaweed, and water. We then put in fish and snail eggs and had the opportunity to watch everything grow. This was such a simple project and I still remember it to this day. This is definitely something I would want to do in my future classroom. It could be incorporated into a lesson about a life cycle or different ecosystems!
Cute way to review the aleph-bet! Could also be used to teach or review parts of the body in Hebrew.
Can we recycle sacred texts?
I am such a nerd, but this was a really interesting read. Thereβs so much here & I donβt want to inaccurately summarize halacha but the gist is maybe we can sometimes recycle some parts of sacred texts in some ways.Β
