M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?I’m planning on diving in on a long multi-chapter fic over my summer break, that I’m very excited about! Basically, transplant the whole Dom/Ange storyline to Chloe having been given up for adoption by Serena just before she went to Harvard, and then mix in Bernie coming back to work in the ED trauma center. Family drama! Relationship rebuilding! Tons of angst!

R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?Without a doubt @belligerently, in part because of co-writing with her, but just in general she’s really helped me refine my style and, I think, made me a much stronger writer

V: If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?Hmmmm, that’s a really good question. I’m not sure I can think of any off the top of my head. In general, I like to respect the story an author wants to tell, so I don’t think in terms of what I would add.

That would be a really interesting writing challenge, though. Maybe an exchange, where people can write sequels to other’s fics? Anybody else think this would be fun?

1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?Ha! Well, this one was inspired very loosely by a true event in @belligerently’s life, that she told me I had to turn into a fic. From there, the structure came entirely from trying to make the off the wall premise seem even remotely possible, lol

3: What's your favorite line of narration?That’s a surprisingly tough question. I don’t really think of this fic as one of my strongest narratively. I do like this one:

Serena stands frozen, trapped between the urges to flee, to laugh, to throw up on the spot, because this is no arousal-induced hallucination. Bernie Wolfe, her co-worker, her co-lead, stands in the open doorway, looking terribly confused.

Idea for a story*looks at my entire WIP list* More and more each day it would seem, lol. Along the lines of the previous answer, I did have a fun idea where Serena asks Ric for advice on how to have sex with a woman 😏

Unpopular opinionLately the fact that I don’t think she’s an alcoholic villain who’s destroyed Bernie’s life seems pretty unpopular. Also the fact that I’ve found her choices of late in fitting with the character, including the recent return to “sassy Serena” (which I should really write up my thoughts on one of these days)

Favorite momentI’m sure this won’t be a popular answer, but I’m still obsessed with Bernie in the office scene after she finds out about Leah. God, the nuance of it, the love and acceptance and growth. It murders me

Idea for a storyI’ve been tossing around the idea of Bernie showing up on Serena’s doorstep on Christmas day and basically says “You’re wrong, I don’t need excitement, I want to be with you. But we both suck at this, so I’m going to take the job in the ED at Holby and we’re gonna figure this out”

Unpopular opinionMost of what we all love and adore about Bernie has been created by fandom, because aside from a couple of main characteristics (and Jemma’s wonderful work) the character is kind of a blank page in canon. Also, she’s as much to blame as Serena for things ending
