perhaps one day I'll wake up in my warm cottage bed with my lover-wife sitting next to me whilst tending to me and she'll say "darling, you've have the most dreadful illness and I regret to say you've been unconscious for days. you must have had such dreadful nightmares, for you would toss and turn and it hurt my heart dearly to see you hurting," and I'll look around the room with light softly beaming through white curtains onto potted plants sitting atop handcrafted furniture, and feel the seams in the quilt I lay under and tell her, "O wife, the nightmares were truly terrible, for I hadn't you to ensure my sanity. I shudder to think that should I have stayed in that dream-world a moment longer I would be lost to it." and she would fetch more water from the pump in the kitchen and I would breathe deeply and be grateful of the simplicity of my life and the love that fills our home
