That night, at the Park Lane Hotel, Jim let his hair down (literally) at the West Essex Car Club’s Annual Awards Party. With the Beatles in 1963 re-inventing Britain and providing a new lustre for the next generation, Jim, Graham Hill, Les Leston and Peter Jopp decided to don “mop top” wigs and guitars for the dubious benefit of their audience. With the guests then quickly attempting to divest the Four Imposters not only of their “hair” but also of most of their clothing, I think we can safely file this one under the heading, “Classic motor racing party”. At least Sally Stokes was their to ensure that Jim emerged unscathed. (x)
Graham Hill, Jim Clark, Peter Jopp and Les Leston dress up as the Beatles for the West Essex Car Club annual party. Fans were very eager to rid them of their clothes, as usual, Graham managed to lose his trousers 🤭

Les Leston (BRM P25) Grand Prix de Grande Bretagne - Aintree 1957 - UK Racing History.
This is a link to the 1968 Les Leston catalogue. Les was the leading supplier of motor racing kit in the 1960s. The catalogue features Graham Hill modelling some anoraks, which he apparently designed himself.
Another F1 cricket match, from 1968. Only six years before the other, more photographed one, but aesthetically, a million miles away. Jochen Rindt and Piers Courage are the rebels without proper kit this time, although Piers has one of his hats to make up for it.
