Trompe l'oeil [] Leo & Lucifer
Continuation to the one from here
Receiving the praise with the bare minimum of reaction, he inclined his head and stared silently at the male. A smooth voice coupled with the sly twist of perfectly shaped tiers and a bored gaze. What was this creature that happened to come upon the scene of a condemning, and a simple one at that? An aura could be seen, but it flickered in and out, weaving and fading and becoming more vibrant. When the wind blewāruffling his crimson hairāthe smell of sulfur touched his nose before fleeing with a teasing laugh. āIām so glad you approve.ā Dry was his tone, and even dryer his smile. Ironically friendly and so seeking for approval, that it was obvious he did not desire nor care for the maleās input.
From the appearance of the strangerās aura, he suspected that if he bothered to reach out the mental fingers of his mind and try to inspect deeper, he would be barred from it and no doubt left only with the mocking laughs of the maleās mind. It made his damned curiosity stir and crawl up to rest next to his eyes, just waiting for the worst time to peek out and get him into trouble.Ā
Tilting his head, he stared blankly at the male before letting the ghost of a smirk hover over his lips, his greenish-yellow eyes blinking into the night. āYou may ask, however, I am not compelled to give you an answer.ā He gazed at him in vague amusement for a moment before turning his attention to the still warm body.Ā "Itās a shame. Weāll have to check on his wife."Ā It was a true shame for the now widow would be having her baby soon if everything went well. They would have to keep an eye on her until she seemed able. The red head nodded mentally and looked back up, his gaze once again resting on the stranger.
"True" The other wasn't obliged to give him an answer, but that didn't mean Lucifer wouldn't eventually get it one way or the other. So far noone managed to keep a secret away from him - the God himself included - therefore he wasn't giving the other a long time until he spilled. In fact, he had already started a countdown in his mind, slowly, no need to hurry since the time seemed to be on his side anyway.Ā If the other wanted to play like that, Lucifer was more than eager to play along. This little bickering of theirs could lead to some interesting discovery.
Once their eyes met again, Morning Star send him a reassuring smile - a bright warm one, unlikely for a cold creature like him. He enchanted it to put common supernatural weaklings completely at ease and immadiatelly trust him. Magic in it was almost undetectable, so that the stronger creatures wouldn't realise anyone tried to manipulate them. He wasn't expecting it to work on the other, since he's already crossed him out from the list of lesser supernatural creatures, but he had to check it anyway, just in case.
He crouched so that the other wouldn't have to feel endangered and brought his hand up to his temple, slowly tapping his fingertips against it a few times as he spoke, half-jokingly. "What is there in your head exactly? I'd like to get introduced." He's decided it would be the best to start with gently poking at the aura and there was a slight chance that the creature would open up himself, instead of having it forced upon him. Patience was needed with this one and if Lucifer had to, he would follow the male around, since he's piqued his curiousity and that usually meant fun.
