Draped on top of Rose, Leona eyed Rory as he bustled around his room, getting ready for… something. “Where are you going that you have to be more dressed up than usual?”

“Vil invited me to assist with a photo shoot, so I have to look put together.” He answered as he dabbed a bit of lip color on. Leona frowns. “Schoenheit?”

Rory sighs, turning around and coming over to cup Leona’s face in his hands. “Yes, my grumpy lion, Vil Schoenheit, your arch rival.”

Rose snorts, wiggling out from under Leona enough to look at Rory. “You’re gonna be on the front cover of some magazine together, right?”

“What?” Leona scowled at Rory. Rory mocks the expression, running his thumb along Leona’s cheek. “Oh relax. It’s nothing erotic, it’s just a casual shoot. A promo for an upcoming show that I will absolutely be skipping out on.”

Leona scoffs, nuzzling into Rory’s touch, but still scowling. “This is ridiculous. A king should have his whole pride with him.”

“Aww,” Rory coos. “Are you jealous? That’s so cute… buh-bye!” He plants a kiss on Leona’s forehead, before sauntering out the door, his heels clacking down the hall.

“He’s gonna break his ankles one of these days-” Rose mutters, cutting herself off with an ‘oof’ as Leona flops down onto her. “Oi! Warn a girl, sheesh.”

He just clicks his tongue, pouting. She sighs. “So needy and grumpy and entitled, honestly. Up! Off!” She pushes at his shoulders, but he doesn’t budge. “I mean it, off, we’re gonna go crash a photo shoot.”

Cracking an eye open at her, he slowly smirks, sitting up. 

“Good boy.” Rose teases, slipping out from under him and off the bed. “Where’d I put my shoes…?”

He catches her wrist. “Good boy, huh?”

She snorts. “When you wanna be, yeah. C’mon, let’s go.”

Though he seemed as nonchalant as ever, Leona’s tail was lashing. Rose huffs, rolling her eyes. The big bad lion, anxious about his boyfriend hanging out with his ex… okay, maybe it wasn’t so unfounded. Sighing, she takes his hand. He raises an eyebrow at her, but doesn’t say anything or pull away. 

There’s a group of Pomefiore students milling around, the models posing in front of a fountain. Vil and Rory were clearly the main attraction, with other - presumably students - models in simpler outfits. Rose didn’t feel one way or another about Vil only having met him a few times, but she could admit he was fashionable. He was dressed extravagantly, and if he chose the outfit for Rory, extra kudos to him.

Heading for a familiar building, his frustration gets more and more palpable. The photo shoot was happening in the Botanical Garden. His tail hits her leg and she flicks his arm. “Chill, or we’re going back.”

“I am chill.” He ground out.

“Mm-hmm. Maybe I should go in by myself-”

“Oh, no you don’t.” He growled, catching her hand as she started to pull away and dragging her inside. Dramatic ass.

He wore a flowy white poet top (slightly translucent in someplaces from the spray of the fountain), and equally flowy brown pants - Rory told her what they were called once, something that sounded like plaza? - that were very clearly high quality. Rory caught sight of them, giving her a questioning glance. She shrugged, and tilted her head toward the grumpy man next to her. He shook his head fondly, saying something to Vil, who glanced at them impassively and nodded.

He smiled at Leona knowingly as he walks over. “Miss me already?”

“You look nice.” Leona says, surprisingly soft, as he snatches Rory’s hand in his free one. Giving Rose an alarmed glance, Rory leans closer to her. “What’s wrong with him?” He whispers.

Leona frowns. “What, can’t I compliment my partner?”

Rory rolls his eyes. “Well, of course you can, but you never do in public.”

“I’ve got a few guesses.” Rose snorts, bumping Leona with her hip.

“Tell you what,” Rory starts, laughing. “I’ll use the money I get from this to load up on snacks and we’ll have a movie night. Just us, some cheesy action movies, and a blanket fort, deal?”

“Does that mean I’m just a bonus?” He grumbles, tugging Rory closer by his hand. Frowning, Rory brings his hand to Leona’s cheek. “Of course not, Leo, you’re my everything. But, I need to make my own livelihood, it’s all I can do in this world.”

Leona’s frown drops into a scowl. “You don’t need to do this for money. I have plenty.”

Rory shrugs. “Eh, but I do need the exposure. The money is just a bonus.”

“It’s a bad one.” Leona grumps, leaning down-

Leona huffs. “Why do you always talk like you’re about to die?”

Rory winces, shrugging. “Habit.”

“Rory! Come here, we’re about to start the next set!”

Rory looks over his shoulder, shouting back at the person calling him back. “Sorry guys, gotta-”

“Will he though?” Rose snarks, leaning into Leona. “I don’t know if he’ll last that long with just little old me for company.”

Leona leaned down, kissing Rory. In front of everyone. His hand released Rory’s and came up to curl around his waist. Still holding Leona’s other hand, Rose glances around, noting pretty much everyone around them gawking, including Vil. Leona wasn’t opposed to PDA; he had no qualms about flaunting that they were his should the opportunity present itself, but he wasn’t quite this brazen usually.

Rose sighs as Leona releases Rory. “You’re so jealous, it’s almost adorable.” She teases, sharing an amused glance with her best friend. He giggles. “Hey, I ain’t protesting. They’re gonna have to redo my make-up now, though.” Reaching up, he wipes some of the lip gloss that transferred from his lips to Leona’s. Leona just smiles smugly. “Oh, damn. What a shame.”

Rory sighs. “Well, it was only going to be another hour but it might be longer now… you'll survive though.”

Rory laughs as Leona growls playfully, digging his fingers into her side, making her squirm. “Oi, don’t dish it if you can’t take it!” She yelps, dancing away from him. Sticking her tongue out at him, she turns to Rory, giving him a hug and pressing a kiss to his cheek. “Have fun, and when you get the snacks, make sure to get the-”

“Extra large tubs of ice cream, yes.”

Glancing back at Leona, Rory tilts his head. “Y’know, that shade looks very nice on you now that I really look at it.”

Snickering at Leona’s flustered click of his tongue, he waves, turning to walk away. “See you two later!”

Rory walked back over, getting directions from a few Pomefiore students. Glancing up at Leona, Rose ducked under his arm, leaning into his side. “Satisfied now? I’m pretty sure Vil got the message.”

Leona chuffs. “Damn right he did.”
