It had to be that guy. “Sigh.” She almost audibly said as she actually heaved out a sigh of sorts, setting the bottle down gently. Chest lowered as she allowed herself to relax -- whether by virtue of getting used to the company or the champagne’s effects, she wouldn’t tell. “Of all people to spend my holiday, I never thought it’d be you.” Ultear admitted, side-eyeing the familiar Dragon Slayer.

In a way, just looking at his mug made the side of her cheek throb in memory of the pain she felt. It paled in comparison to the rest of the edgy shit she went through, but this one stung rather badly not on her general emotions, but on her ego. Perhaps that’d be why she could recall it like so.

Regardless... “Ah well.” ...A friend is a friend in holiday season. Taking another hastened sip from her glass, she raised the bottle as the liquid inside sloshed some. Seems she’s had a good fill if her movements jumped enough to move it about so much from just raising it! Managing a smile, she cocked her head to the side some. “Another one?” She offered; expression then taking a more devious turn. “Seeing you overly drunk is sure to be pretty chaotic.” ...She was kidding.

“...Y’know what.” Contrary to what he’d believed, the Salamander actually went and cooperated well as the two warm-clothed mages did their thing outside. Piling up snow into large round clumps, to decorate later maybe. Gray was convinced that Natsu would be as initially opposed to the idea as he was, though after seeing a degree of excitement in the pink-haired (most likely failing to hide his own tinge of it) he figured why not see it through.

“-- But y’know. Yeah coming here wasn’t so bad after all.” The ice mage started, pride instantly filling his expression as he leaned back against the wall; raising his hand in an act of nonchalance. “Things have been going kinda great for me lately.” The cheeky grin on his face turning slightly wider as Gray recalled some recent events he’s been written into; practically assured he’s upstaged his rival in that department.
