Naughty/Dumb Pinescone Mini Fic Idea
This is so dumb! But it made me laugh, and I wanted to share with others and also just-- see how I should end it. So the idea: ---- Wendy and the teens joking that Wirt is Submissive and breedable (yes i was thinking of that friend's art) and they ask Dipper what he thinks, being he's Wirt's boyfriend and knows him the most intimately.
And Dipper is like "I meanâŚkind of. You are a pushover babe. And you're a sweetheart-- you totally give off that vibe"
And Wirt is all offended and huffy, like, "Im getting a drink."
Dipper: Get one for me too?
Wirt: (Immediately folding like a house of cards) Yes, dear.
Wendy: Told you!
Wirt shoots her a flustered glare, and walks off. When he comes back with the drinks, he hands Dipper his while leaning in his ear
"We'll see who's submissive and breedable tonight" ---
That's the idea. Now what I want to ask is-- if I were to write it, should I end it with more of a fade to black; a salacious tease for the reader's to wonder. Or, would people want me to include the later that night scene. I genuinely would like to know what sounds fun. Are we looking at a T+/M rated, or are we looking at E for this one?
Early Modern Girls and Women and their... Lemons?
I wonder how, I wonder why... What's it with early modern girls and women and their lemons? So far, I was able to make out three of them with a special relationship with this particular fruit:
Mary II is straightforward enough; her stepmother, Maria Beatrice of Modena lovingly nicknamed her "Lemon" as the counterpart of [William of] Orange, Mary's husband.
As for Liselotte, matters were a bit different: During her parents' rather hostile separation, Karl Ludwig, her father, decided to once and for all hurt his beloathed wife by taking their daughter away from her and sending her to Hannover, to live with his sister Sophie and the latter's husband.
Karl Ludwig recorded Liselotte's departure from the Palatinate on 9 June 1659, when Liselotte was seven years old, in a letter to his lover (and future morganatic wife) Louise von Degenfeld:
I rose today at four o'clock and Liselotte an hour before me. Her sadness was but short. She had cried much with [Charlotte], but the moment she turned her back on her, she asked Botzheim where she had put her lemon.
Dirk van der Cruysse: Madame Palatine, princesse europĂŠenne, Paris 1988, p. 71.
While Mary was a Lemon and Liselotte had one for a toy, nothing indicates why Marie ThĂŠrèse of France (1667â1672), daughter of Louis XIV and Maria Theresa of Spain is depicted with one.
I have yet to reasearch the art historical significance of lemons in the 17th century, but it could have to do with the relative rarity and costliness of lemons (which would only grow in greenhouses in northern Europe) and the imagery of the monarchy as a (family-)tree bearing fruit (i. e. producing heirs), thus making little Marie ThÊrèse's lemon a metaphor for her social position. Some site not using any citations also suggested that lemons in still lives of the period might symbolise temperance and a wariness of greed as it is a beautiful fruit, however one with a bitter taste. Running with this line of interpretation, the lemon might be a symbol of the little girl's virtues: unpretentious, good-natured and free from the vice of greed, she holds the lemon as if to remind herself of these positive traits.
All this reasoning aside, I cannot help but think that maybe, the truth is much simpler. Is it a distant family predilection for lemon-flavoured treats? Were Louis XIV, Karl Ludwig von der Pfalz and Maria Beatrice of Modena present at the first concert of the German band Fool's Garden at the court of the Markgrave of Baden in Pforzheim?
All I know is... all that I can see is just a yellow lemon tree...

Shadowbringers 5.0 Spoilers!

Hot hands gripped her as Karo lost herself in the sensation of Thancredâs lips. He was there. Alive. A bit grumpier than in the past, but all of it faded away as he held her against him, no doubt in his sincerity. Her feet dangled as his hand cupped her ass, the other bracing against her bare back. Adjusting his grip, she wrapped her legs around his waist as he smiled into their kiss, and he strode towards the bed. Two small stairs later, he laid her down on the soft bed, ever so gently in contrast to the urgency in which he pinned her hands above her head.
Karo wiggled under him, missing the touch of his body pressed against hers as he leaned over her, raining heated kisses along any bit of bare skin, his right hand finding the strip at her hip where skin peeked through. Steady hands set her alight, a whimper escaping from her lips.
âPatience, Kitten,â his voice was pitched low and gravely, and she could hear the smile in the words even as he worked his own form of magic to stir her senses. Arching, she whined anyway, trying to get even an ilm more contact as he pushed her shirt up to expose her stomach, hand splayed across the bared skin. His lips met hers once more as she strained upwards, desperate for touch. Â
âStayââ the command growled out, waiting just a moment for compliance before Thancred sat up on his knees above her, removing his shirt, his eyes never leaving hers. She flexed her hands, but did not move them, watching greedily at the toned skinâthough distressed to see several of the familiar scars missing. Here and notâit was a stark reminder that briefly brought her out of the passionate haze before he leaned back over, tugging her own shirt up, working it over her head.
âGood girl,â with those words, all else faded besides the two of them, here and now. Her tail slapped the mattress, a purr emanating from her as he dipped his head to her chest. Hot lips trailed around, before taking a nipple into his mouth, tongue flicking the stiff peak, and bringing another groan from the Miqoâte beneath him. He had pinned her hands gently again as she mockingly pushed against the holdâfor she could break it at any point if she really had wanted to.
âBehaveââ his tongue darted out once again before moving to her other breast, lavishing it with the same attention as she panted beneath him, all senses aflame, his touch all that mattered. Karo lost track of time as he teased her, bringing her almost to the brink without touching below her waist.
Abruptly he pulled back once more, his own patience finally at its end as he quickly stripped her the rest of the way, tossing his own pants and smalls off to the side. He patted her side, urging her to flip over, as he lined himself up behind her, wasting no time, filling her completely. She fell apart immediately, shuddering around him as he stayed still, letting her shake around him, panting into the sheets.
With a groan, he finally started to move, slowly at first, but soon, a punishing pace as she was worked to a fever pitch once again. Her tail wrapped around his waist as he pounded into her from behind, hands on her hips, guiding them both to their peak as she clawed at the bed, panting. She could feel the heat pooling low again as she gasped with each movement, hips rocking with him. Pulling her upright against his chest, a hand cupped her breast, as the other found its way between her legs, fingers rocking in time with his rhythmic thrusting as he panted in her ear. It was all it took to tip her over, crying out into the room, as he bit down on her shoulder as she could feel him chase his own pleasure a moment later.
Withdrawing, but not relinquishing touch, Thancred pulled Karo down onto the bed beside him, curling around her possessively. Exhausted both physically and mentally, sleep came quickly for them both, letting the evening slip away.
Iâm going trough my Lemon Flavored and Sent faze again đđđđđđđđ

Aural Fixation
He canât say heâs imagined such things (because he hasnât, would never; big dumb sexless space oaf, thatâs him) but if he were to start, he might imagine thatâs a sound Rose makes during arousal.
Not that heâd know. Or imagine. Because he doesnât and he hasnât.
(Warning: here there be smuts.)
***
CLANK.
âOh, for goodnessâ sake!â
Halfway down the hall, the Doctor chuckles. âNeed any help in there?â
Another clank, and he can just make out the sound of Rose swearing under her breath. âNo,â she calls back.
âReally? Cos it sounds like you picked a fight with the wardrobe,â the Doctor teases, âand youâre losing.â
A loud Ka-CHUNK sounds in response. âIâm fine!â Rose insists stubbornly.
Shaking his head, the Doctor laughs. âWhat could you possibly be doing to cause that racket?â he asks, doubling back toward the wardrobe room.
âItâs not me, itâs this stupid busted thing,â says Roseâs voice, and the Doctor steps inside the room to see the outline of her body, silhouetted against the back of a folding-screen; from the looks of it, this stupid busted thing refers to the automatic lace-puller, attached to Roseâs silhouette by two shadow-strings. Normally cheerfully upright, the outline of the lace-puller is now slumped, wheezing a little, and yep, thatâs the faintest hint of smoke rising from its vents.
The Doctor tsks. Only got a couple of centuries out of the thing. Typical rubbish Grishtal workmanship.
âSure you donât need help?â the Doctor asks.
âNot unless you know how to lace up a corset.â
âIâm sure I can figure it out,â he replies confidently, striding forward. âHow hard can it be?â
Rose laughs. âI dunno, you might beââ
Without warning, the Doctor pushes the folding-screen aside to find Rose standing between a mirror and the auto-lacer, hair coiffed, corset half-laced and strings pulled taut, wearing nothing else but a pair of extremely anachronistic (not to mention extremely tiny) knickers. Sheâs staring at him over her shoulder, wide eyes growing wider, pink cheeks blooming pinker.
ââsurprised,â she finishes breathlessly, and neither of them are laughing now.
Fortunately, the Doctorâs mind is a far more impressive machine than the auto-lacer, and its many many gears and cogs only falter for the briefest of moments. Itâs nothing to be shocked by, after all. Rose or not, thereâs nothing unusual about the display in front of him. Itâs just a body. A human body. Theyâre all more or less the same. Skin, hair, curves. Undergarments. Surprisingly small undergarments that hide very little. Nothing to be startled about. Certainly nothing to bluster over.
âWhat are you wearing those for?â he blurts out, staring at the pants, and internally kicks himself.
Roseâs eyebrow piques incredulously. âYou want to know why Iâm wearing knickers?â
The Doctor rolls his eyes. âNo, Iâm saying that if youâre gonna go through the effort to put on something historically accurate like thatââ he says, gesturing to the corset, ââyou might as well commit to the whole kit. You know. Bloomers and such.â
âWhat do you know about bloomers?â Rose laughs.
âI know modern-day pants are an anachronism.â
âAnd I know no oneâs gonna be seeing them anyway. Well, except you now, I guess. Not totally sure you count, though,â she teases, looking the Doctor up and down.
âGee, thanks,â the Doctor says wryly, watching as Rose struggles to pull her laces free of the auto-lacerâs vicelike grip. âI was gonna offer to help you with that, but now Iâm thinking maybe Iâll just leave you to it.â
âNo you wonât.â
âOh no?â asks the Doctor, leaning lazily against a coral strut.
âNope.â Rose shoots another look at him over her shoulder when he doesnât move. âYouâre too impatient for that.â
âNah. See, patience is a skill, a discipline, acquired over trials and tribulations over the course of time. And me? Iâve been around for a bit. In fact,â the Doctor says smugly, crossing his arms, âIâd say Iâve had bouts of patience that lasted longer than youâve been alive.â
Rose smiles at him, her gaze soft and warm, and really, itâs almost maddening, the instant effect that look has on him, the way it makes something go all honeyed in his chest. âDo you really want to stall your adventure just because your companion got trapped by the dressing-machine?â she asks sweetly. âCos the whole stuck-in-the-car, waiting-cos-the-missus-ainât-ready-yet bit sounds awfully domestic.â
The Doctor glares at her. Rose smiles at him beatifically, tongue trapped in her teeth. His eyes narrow. Her smile brightens.
Dammit.
âNext time,â he says, even as he grudgingly pushes off away from the strut, âweâre going somewhere and somewhen that does not require complicated underthings.â
âFine by me,â replies Rose, watching in the mirror as the Doctor approaches the auto-lacer, scanning it with the sonic. Official diagnosis: it is, indeed, busted. âWouldnât have gone for the whole historical look anyway, âcept I remembered that run-in with the what-dâyou-call-âems, Henry VIIIâs fashion police,â Rose continues.
Chuckling, the Doctor adjusts the setting on the sonic, loosening the auto-lacerâs joints. âThose were just constables, Iâm afraid. No fashion police, just coppers getting a little carried away enforcing local sumptuary laws, drunk on an ounce of power. Typical lower-level law enforcement.â
âYeah, but they didnât give you or Jack any trouble.â
âAll right, sexist typical lower-level law enforcement.â Pulling the laces free from the machine, he turns to Rose. âNow, if you want to talk about literal fashion policeââ
He tugs on the corset-laces and Rose stumbles back into him, gasping in surprise.
âStill earning those sea legs?â teases the Doctor.
âGit,â Rose laughs, pushing away. âGive a girl some warning, first!â
âSort of thought this would give it away,â the Doctor says brightly, giving the laces another little tug.
Rose shoots a dirty look over his shoulder.
His responding grin is perfectly innocent. âIâm only trying to help.â
âSpeaking of drunk on power,â Rose mutters, but sheâs smiling when she says it, so the Doctor pays it no mind. This time, when the Doctor pulls on the laces, she doesnât stumble, just rocks back a little. Inwardly, the Doctor grins at that. Her time aboard the TARDIS has earned her some decent sea-legs, after all.
Crossing the laces over each other, the Doctor threads them through the grommets, pulling them taut again, after. He repeats the pattern, pulling the laces snug each time, until he cinches a little tighter and Rose lets out a sharp breath in response.
âAll right there?â he asks.
âSâfine,â she says, but in the mirror, she looks a little winded.
âI can loosen up.â
âItâs fine,â Rose repeats, straightening up a little. âJustâsometimes it sort of pushes the air out of your lungs, is all.â
The Doctor shrugs and sets back to work. Cross, weave, thread, pull.
Rose gasps.
Glancing up again, the Doctor frowns. âThereâs no use in you getting all dolled-up if you canât breathe.â
âI can breathe just fine. Donât worry about me.â
âI donât want you fainting in the middle of the opera.â
âOh, god forbid I should miss the opera,â Rose teases.
âI mean it,â he says, and he starts lacing again. âYou faint, Iâm not lugging your dead weight around. Not with whatever massive frock youâre undoubtedly planning to wear over this.â
âOh whatever, just take the dress off.â
Something goes funny in the Doctorâs stomach and he yanks the laces hard. Roseâs footing slips a little and she gasps, the sound just the littlest bit strangled this time. Before the Doctor has a chance to apologize, Rose shakes her head.
âDonât stop,â she says, and is it him, or has her voice gone just a little bit breathy?
âMight as well get it over and done with,â she adds quickly.
Fair enough. He goes back to it, cross, weave, thread, pull, cross, weave, thread, pull, and the little sound that escapes Rose doesnât sound like a gasp, so much as aâ
Well. No. It sounds exactly like a gasp. Just not the sort of gasp one typically makes while one is getting dressed. He risks another look up at the mirror and oh no, no, thatâs a mistake, because Rose isnât looking him in the eye anymore, instead sheâs staring into nothing, biting her lower lip so hard itâs gone white as her chest gently heaves, soft pink blooming over her dĂŠcolletage. And if the Doctor didnât know any better, heâd think he caught just the lightest whiff of pheromones dusting the air.
It suddenly occurs to the Doctor that his offer of help might have gotten him more than he bargained for.
He should stop, he thinks, before Rose cottons on that heâs cottoned on and things get awkward. Or, would that make it worse, if he stopped, and then Rose would know for certain that he knew? Theyâve already established that he doesnât really. Know, that is. About this sort of thing. Well, no, she knows he knows, but she doesnât know how much he knows, and she still seems fairly convinced he doesnât know anything at all. So.
So the surest way to maintain decorum is to play dumb, right? Play dumb, spare Roseâs blushes, preserve plausible deniability. Just be an idiot. Capital plan.
He crosses and weaves and threads and pulls again and Rose lets out another strangled noise and he canât say heâs imagined such things (because he hasnât, would never; big dumb sexless space oaf, thatâs him) but if he were to start, he might imagine thatâs a sound Rose makes during arousal.
Not that heâd know. Or imagine. Because he doesnât and he hasnât.
And he crosses and weaves, threads and pulls and crosses and weaves, threads and pulls again and she swallows back a pant and he accidentally looks up to see her in the mirror again, eyelashes fluttering, still biting that lower lip, biting so hard heâs surprised she hasnât drawn blood, and her cheeks and ears have gone pink to match the blush of her chest, which, coincidentally, is getting more and more difficult for the Doctor to ignore, either due to its color or its motion or the fact that her breasts bloody damn well look like theyâre about to escape this godsforsaken corset any second nowâ
Cross, weave, thread, yank and Rose stumbles backward again with the force of it, smacking into the Doctor with a bodily thud.
âLeverage!â he announces before either of them have a chance to react, because her face in the mirror and her body pulled against his are decidedly not helping things. âNeed leverage to wrap up a task like this,â he adds, dropping the laces so he can grab Rose by the arms and walk her over to the nearest coral strut, blessedly out of the mirrorâs view. âItâs all about the physics, see,â he continues, placing Roseâs hands on the strut. âRight amount of leverage, right amount of force; hang on and youâll be sorted in a tic.â
He picks up the laces and pulls them again, pulls them tight and crosses and weaves and oh, oh no, oh this is even worse somehow than before, because now instead of Roseâs whole body rocking toward him, itâs just her hips and bum, inching back and forth with every tug of the strings, offering a graphic preview of what it would look like ifâ
Nope. Nope. Canât think like that wonât think like that mustnât think like that but itâs too late to change tactics now, just got to ignore the scent and the heat and the view and the sounds and her and move as quickly as possible, wrap this up before his stupid overactive senses pick up on anything else. Rose clings to the strut as he works, biting back her gasps from the sound of it, but the Doctor can still hear her breath trying to escape, canât help but notice the trembling in her legs. He focuses intently on the work in front of him, fingers and hands working rapidly to finish, and if the laces miss a grommet or twoâwell, thatâs not a flustered mistake. Itâs a stylistic flourish. Yeah. He can work with that.
âDone,â he announces, and heâs very pleased with how even and calm his voice sounds despite everything rioting in his head, very pleased indeed. âThe chore is complete; you have been properly cinched, tucked, and flattened in all the right places. The inability to properly breathe or move is now totally yours.â
âThanks,â Rose laughs, and the Doctor pointedly ignores how shaky the sound is, the way she gulps for air.
âNeed any help with anything else?â he asks, stepping back, hands firmly lodged in pockets. âSocks? Shoes? Hat?â
âBloomers?â she jokes, turning to face him.
âWhat, and undo all my hard work? Should have thought about that before you put the corset on.â
âIâll just pull âem on over top.â
âRose,â replies the Doctor, all faux-scandalized mock-sternness. âBloomers go on before the corset. Every time traveler knows that.â
Rolling her eyes, Rose crosses back to the mirror. âWell then, next time Iâll be sure to get your input before I get dressed,â she laughs shakily.
The Doctor watches her as she puts the finishing touches on her makeup. His eyes do not wander down the line of her shoulderblades or the exaggerated curve of her waist or the slope of her hips or the completely bare stretches of her legs, but stay firmly fixed on the reflection of her face in the mirror; the idea of a pre-clothing Rose is more intriguing than it has any right to be, but the Doctor pushes that to the side. Itâs easy enough, now that the risk of imminent danger has passed.
Sheâs fine, now. Heâs fine, always. Nothing happened, not really. Anyway theyâre back in safe territory, where they belong. Even if it is secretly just a little bit satisfying to realize exactly what kind of effect he can have on her, if he so chooses.
He hides a grin. Luckily he, the Doctor thinks smugly, is not so easily affected.
âUnless youâve got any other chores for me, Iâll leave you to it,â says the Doctor, stepping back. âBut donât take it easy just cos Iâm not in here anymore. Weâre still sticking to a strict schedule. Chop-chop.â
âYou got it,â says Rose, lining her lips with lipstick. âOh, and Doctor?â she calls, after heâs made it a few steps away.
He stops and turns. âWhatâs that?â
âWould you send Jack in here?â
His brow furrows in confusion, and once again, he resolutely ignores the view laid out in front of him. âWhy?â he asks.
Finishing her lipstick, Rose meets his gaze in the mirror. âIn case I need help with any other chores,â she says simply.
Shocked, the Doctor grasps for any kind of witty rejoinder, or any sense of anything really, any at all. But all he can do is turn and leave, before Rose sees him gaping like some kind of slack-jawed idiot.
Nope, he thinks furiously. Not affected at all.
 ***
The incident is all but forgotten by the time Rose has finished getting ready (having taken her time about it, too, and demonstrating absolutely no remorse whatsoever), and by the time Jack is finished getting ready (how in all the hells did he manage to take even longer than Rose, the Doctor wonders?), the incident has left his brain entirely. Now heâs just tapping his foot impatiently, glancing down at his wristwatch every so often as Rose and Jack gush at each other about oh, how very splendid they both look.
Literally all of time and space at their disposal, and the two of them are making googly-eyes at each other instead. How did the Doctor ever allow himself to become party to this?
âYou hens done clucking?â he asks when fifteen minutes have gone by, with no end in sight.
âOh, hush,â Jack tuts. âYouâre just jealous no oneâs mooning over you right now.â
âIâm plenty happy outside the moonlight, thanks.â
âYouâd be even happier in it,â drawls Jack, swaggering his way. âCâmon Doc, whenâs the last time you got gussied-up for anything?â
The Doctor gestures to his shirt. âChanged my jumper. What more do you want?â
âA suit every once in a while couldnât hurt,â Rose calls out.
âA long walk on the beach, dinner for three and drinks to match wouldnât hurt my feelings, either,â says Jack with a wink.
The Doctor glares at the two of them. âGood grief. Thereâs just no pleasing you two, is there?â
âNope,â replies Rose, and she and Jack both laugh. The Doctor has every intention of continuing to glower at both of them, reducing them both to duly chastened quietude, but then Rose sidles up to him, threading her arm through his.
âReady to go?â she asks, with that stupid pretty tongue-touched grin of hers.
Suddenly itâs difficult to pretend to be irritated anymore.
Later, of course, he doesnât have to pretend at all.
âSure, letâs go to the opera, says Jack,â the Doctor grumbles under his breath, sonic screwdriver whirring in one hand as he cards through coat after cloak after coat after cloak with the other. âI love the nineteenth century, says Jack. No oneâs gonna try to abduct me there, says Jack!â
âSâpose thatâs what we get for traveling with a Time Agent,â muses Rose, who does not seem even remotely bothered that theyâve spent an hour in the cloakroom instead of watching the opera. In fact, the Doctor has a sneaking suspicion she prefers it.
âSâpose thatâs what we get for traveling with Jack,â he mutters darkly.
Busy digging in the pocket of a grand overcoat (which does not have bottomless pockets as far as the Doctor is aware, but has large enough pockets anyway), Rose spares him a knowing smile. âI think that was code for Actually, I quite like the fellow, he livens up the place.â
âWasnât aware the place needed livening-up.â
âOh, come off it,â Rose teases gently. âYou like him. Itâs okay to admit it.â
The Doctor sniffs before moving onto the next cloak. Maybe heâll be lucky enough to find the reservation in there; maybe the thirty-eighth timeâs the charm. âHeâs a scoundrel,â he insists.
âAnd let me guess: you happen to like nice men.â
Distracted, it takes the Doctor half a second to recognize the exchange. âQuoting Star Wars will get you nowhere, you know,â he says drily.
âWasnât quoting Star Wars.â Rose flashes a grin his way as she pats down another coat. âThat was The Empire Strikes Back.â
âClose enough.â
âClose enough? Not by a long shot!â she laughs. âItâs easily the best of the three. The best by miles.â
âAnd it just happens to be the one with a surplus of Harrison Ford.â
âWell yeah, thatâs definitely not a drawback, but thatâs not all.â Rose pulls a small card out from the coat, holds it up, and frowns. âWhatâs the name of the hotel again?â
âThe Grosvenor.â
Rose sighs and puts the card back where she found it before moving on. âAnyway,â she says, âitâs not just Harrison Ford. The Empire Strikes Back has the best story of the lot, by far. Daring chase scenes, massive clashes between good and evil, swelling music, epic romanceââ
âAhhh,â says the Doctor knowingly, rifling through a ladyâs-purse. âOf course.â
âOf course, what?â
âOf course, romance.â
Rose doesnât look up, too busy feeling her way through a cloakâs silk lining. âWhat about it?â
âJust not surprising, is all. Lots of humans like romance. In fact, Iâd venture to say most of you do.â
âThat a bad thing?â
He shakes his head, abandoning the purse in favor of a cloak. âNo, not at all. Just means you lot are entirely predictable.â
âWhat, and youâre not?â
ââŚdefinitely heard something,â another voice is saying, drifting into the Doctorâs field of hearing along with the sounds of bootsteps advancing ever-closer, and he recognizes both sounds as those belonging to a pair of Time PiratesâJackâs captors. Before either he or Rose have a chance to finish their thoughts, the Doctor grabs her about the waist, yanking her deep into the cloaks and coats with him and pulling them both to the floor. Roseâs lips part for a small yelp of surprise but the Doctor clamps his hand over her mouth before it has a chance to escape, holding her firm against him. Probably she thinks heâs gone a little battyâher hearingâs not as good as his, after all, so his actions must seem completely out of the blueâbut she stills once the bootsteps reach earshot, once she understands.
The Doctor has scarcely half a second to whisk Roseâs skirts safely out of view behind the heavy cloaks before the two sets of boots reach the cloakroom entrance, footfalls thudding heavy and ominous over the floor.
âYou sure?â asks the other Pirate. âI didnât hear anything.â
Rose starts to slip against the Doctor (curse her silky-satin dress, the thingâs got no bloody sense of friction) but the Doctor anchors her to him before she has a chance to slide, to make any noise. A torch-beam shines into the cloakroom, traveling over the coats and cloaks and furs; one of the intruders steps inside and the Doctor can feel Rose holding her breath, her exhales no longer hitting his hand, her ribcage no longer expanding and contracting beneath his palm. Neither of them dares to move.
The Pirate stops. Between two of the coats, the Doctor can just barely make out that the bloke is glancing around, but not really taking anything in.
With a grunt, the Pirate switches off the torch, stowing it on his belt. âMustâve imagined it.â
âOr it was rats,â the other Pirate supplies. âThis periodâs full of âem.â
âEverything isnât always rats, Vigge,â sighs his partner, as if this is a particular sticking-point between them. âCâmon, letâs go find the others.â
The Doctor lets out a silent sigh of relief at the sound of departing boots. Itâs bloody awkward hiding like this, his arms cinched around Rose while sheâs sat in his lap, neither of them able to shift to anything more comfortable. The sooner they can get up, the better. Fortunately, fading footfalls let him know the guards are leaving, and he moves to shift Rose off his lap.
A third pair of boots approaches. Rose and the Doctor both freeze.
âSeen anything?â asks the third voice.
âNothing yet. Youâre sure theyâre not still in the theatre?â
âPositive,â the third voice confirms. âThe box seatâs empty; that Doctor-bloke and his bird are both gone.â
One of the Pirates swears beneath his breath. âWeâll have to scour every inch of the place, then.â
Peering between the coats, the Doctor can make out the three Pirates talking, discussing how best to search the opera house. Hopefully itâll be a brief bit of chatter, the Doctor thinks, but as the conversation wears on, it quickly becomes apparent that itâs not destined to end any time soon.
Of course, thinks the Doctor exasperatedly. Why wouldnât they pick this exact place and moment for a nice long chat? Heâs only trapped behind a couple dozen fur-and-woolen cloaks with Rose plastered up against him, Rose getting increasingly warm and undoubtedly uncomfortable in his arms, neither of them able to move to improve the situation for fear of alerting the three very-much-armed Time Pirates. Of course, why wouldnât the universe conspire against him like this?
Granted, in terms of Roseâs rising body temperature, it probably doesnât help that the Doctorâs wrapped so snugly around her. But at this point, heâs honestly not sure what he can do. He canât move his hand from her waist; heâs got her skirts pinned there, pressed between her bodice and his palm, and if he moves, he risks the skirts spilling into view. At least he had the presence of mind to shift his other hand away from her mouth, give her a little more space to breathe. But he did not, it appears, have the presence of mind to pay any attention to where that hand might settle afterward, and only now does he realize that his forearm has fallen to rest very gently against her chest, fingertips ghosting against her throat.
Alarm bells start ringing faintly in his head. He canât shift that arm too much more; theyâre surrounded by cloaks and any such movement would surely draw attention either through motion or sound. The only thing he can really do is perhaps lift away from her a little bit, let his hand float awkwardly in the liminal no-manâs-land where her breath lives. No longer touching, but still ridiculously close. Of course, once again, that brings up the issue of acknowledging that something is happening, and something is awkward, and youâve officially Drawn Attention To It, and now there it is, stewing in the mortification of being recognized. Whereas if he pretends everything is normalâwhich it is, he tells himself stubbornly, because skin is just skin, doesnât matter whether parts of it are bare and soft and hersâthen no awkwardness need be experienced by either party involved. Â
Not that heâd know about any of that. Because he doesnât, and even if he does, he certainly doesnât think about it, or notice it, much like heâs definitely not noticing how Roseâs breathing has gone shallow, and her heartrate has sped up, and one of her hands is clenching in her skirt. Doubtful the Pirates can hear itâlike Rose and any other human, their hearing canât rival hisâbut the Doctor sure as hell can. He hears her swallow, too, and, close to her as he is, he smells it again, that unmistakable tinge of pheromones, soft and musky and faintly sweet. And he canât help but notice (canât help it, really) that despite her shallow breaths, her chest is still rising and falling, bringing her breasts into whispering contact with the inside of his arm and the corner of his palm. If she breathed any deeper, heâd surely get a handful.
The Doctor scolds himself for thinking such things, trying fiercely to rein himself back in, but the glance of her skin against his is near-electric, the feel of her pressed against him is overwhelming, the scent of her, intoxicating. Suddenly heâs forgetting why itâs a bad thing for the two of them to be trapped in here like this, pressed tightly together like the pages of a fresh book. His eyes fall to half-mast as they trace the elegant slope of her shoulder and neck, impossibly close to his mouth, begging to be kissed. And sheâd love that, wouldnât she? Love for him to press his lips to her skin, worshipping her, marking her, claiming her. Heâs so close now his lips can feel the warmth of her flesh, burning the scant air between them, or maybe thatâs just the oxygen molecules buzzing with excitement, like atmosphere before a lightning strike, and her pulse beneath his fingertips is thunderousâ
The heavy thud of departing footsteps abruptly informs him that the conversation outside the cloakroom has ended, and the coast will soon be clear again. The Doctor draws a deep breath, catching himself.
He almost fell. He very much wanted to. Itâs been such a long time. And with Roseâ
The Doctor shuts down that line of thought before it can develop any further, giving himself the mental equivalent of a sharp slap to the face. He hasnât got any idea what to do with Rose, not really. Yes, her body is giving off a multitude of signs that seem rather obvious, but thatâs just what bodies do, sometimes. Mix the close proximity, a dash of friction, a whole heaping load of chemistry, and thatâs what you get. Bodies reacting the way bodies do. Not his, of course, not without his express wishes, but thatâs what human bodies do. Human reactions for human people. And Rose is nothing if not human.
Thatâs right. He put up that barrier for a reason, that wall between him and the world, that line drawn in the sand between him and Rose. Theyâve skirted that line enough today, flirted with it more than enough. Itâs time for him to take responsibility, get his head out of the clouds and stop playing games. Nothing good can come of them nudging the line any further, no matter how brightly Rose smiles at him, no matter how sweet her kisses may be. Not that heâll ever find out about that last one.
He collects his wits and draws his barriers close. âRose,â he says quietly. âWe should reallyââ
âYeah,â says Rose, voice clipped as she shifts off his lap to stand upright, and the Doctor resolutely does not think about how cold he is now, without her body clasped to his. After smoothing out her skirts, Rose reaches down to help him off the floor. Grinning, the Doctor accepts.
âAll right?â he asks despite himself, but Rose doesnât answer; instead she watches him as he stands, eyes searching his. The Doctor gets the instinct impression that heâs being evaluated, somehow. Appraised.
âRose?â he prompts, and she shakes herself.
âOh yeah, everythingâs fine,â she says, and maybe he just imagined it all, because now she sounds perfectly normal.
âYeah?â he asks anyway.
âYeah. You know,â she says, turning to continue her search. âJust thinking about Jack.â
âRight,â says the Doctor, feeling, strangely, as if he was just kicked in the shins. âOf course.â
It only makes sense that Rose would be thinking of Jack right now. He was just kidnapped, after all. Itâs only natural heâd be on her mind. For the kidnapping, and no other reason. Certainly nothing to do with flushed skin and pumping adrenaline and soft little noises and the buzzing potential energy of bodies pressed close in tight spaces. Those things wouldnât make Rose think of Jack at all. Not even a little bit.
Not that such a thing would bother the Doctor. Because it wouldnât.

The good news is, thereâs plenty of good news: theyâre able to locate a reservation for the proper hotel, thereby raising no eyebrows when the Doctor and Rose show up at the front desk requesting their room key, and like so many other sentient beings in the universe (really, heâs in good company), the desk clerk is fully taken in by the psychic paper, firmly believing that the Doctor and Rose are, in fact, Mr. and Mrs. Henri Flugenstaff; additionally, locating and breaking into the Piratesâ room is easy as rewiring a quantum rotor, and the rest of the hotel floor is blessedly empty when they do so, meaning no awkward encounters with nosy guests or suspicious staff.
The bad news is, once they enter the room, Jackâs captors (and more significantly, Jack) are nowhere to be found.
âAny idea where they went?â Rose asks.
âNot yet,â murmurs the Doctor, kneeling down to better inspect the faint traces of silvery powder on the carpet, almost invisible even to his keen eye. A reading from the sonic confirms his suspicions: the powder contains traces of Retro-Oganesson and Nihonium-3. Unmistakable evidence that the Time Pirates were here; no clues regarding where they went next.
âMight as well search the room for clues, right?â asks Rose.
âRight.â The Doctor sets the sonic against the carpet, following the path of silvery powder illuminated by the screwdriverâs ghostly blue glow. It guides him across the rug, around the bed, to the fireplace poking out from the wall opposite Rose. For her part, Rose is rifling through the items left behind on the writing-desk; given the general state of disarray of the desk, and the room, itâs clear that the Pirates left in a hurry, so thereâs every chance they left something important behind. The Doctor takes just a second to appreciate the view, allowing himself a soft grin at Rose poking around for clues like a blonde little Sherlock Holmes.
âI hope heâs okay,â says Rose, peering beneath the inkwell.
The Doctor blinks. âWho?â
âJack,â Rose replies, as if the answer is obvious.
The Doctor huffs. âHeâs fine. Probably sliding out of their clutches as we speak.â
Laughing at that, Rose pulls open a desk-drawer. âYeah, youâre right. Heâs probably seducing his captors right about now.â
âYou say that like itâs a good thing.â
âYou say that like itâs not,â Rose laughs.
The Doctor grunts noncommittally, inspecting the inside of the fireplace.
âWhat was that?â asks Rose.
âOh, nothing,â the Doctor hmphs. âJust, there it is again. Humans and romance.â
At that, Rose turns to face him, her eyebrow piqued. âAnd just what have you got against romance, anyway? Did romance offend you somehow, today?â
âIt didnât,â the Doctor lies cheerfully.
âThereâs nothing wrong with liking any of that stuff, you know.â
âOh, Iâm aware.â
âReally? Cos it feels like youâre gonna launch into a lecture on silly apes and their silly feelings any minute now.â
âI never said feelings were silly.â
âYou didnât have to.â
The Doctor stops his search inside the fireplace so he can look at her. âSomething on your mind, Rose?â
âNo,â she replies stubbornly.
âGood,â says the Doctor, and he resumes his search.
âJust makes me glad Jackâll be back soon.â
The Doctorâs nostrils flare and the tiny hairs on the back of his neck stand up on end as something hot slithers into the pit of his belly, smoldering there. âDonât worry, weâll find your boyfriend soon enough,â he replies, his voice tight.
âItâs just nice to have another human on the TARDIS, is all I mean,â Rose says, and the Doctor absolutely does not notice how she didnât correct him on the boyfriend bit. âCos you seem to think so much human stuff is stupid, and Jack doesnât.â
âOh, is Jack the gold standard now?â
âWhen it comes to feelings? Compared to you, yeah, he is.â
âLook, do you want to find him or not?â he asks, glaring at her. âCos if you do, Iâd advise more searching, less yammering.â
If the force of his glare affects Rose, she doesnât show it. âSomeoneâs moody today,â she mutters before turning back to the desk.
âNot moody, just demonstrating a wide range of all those feelings youâre so fond of.â
âAll the grumpy ones, maybe. And Iâm not so fond of those.â
âAnd I suppose Jackâs never grumpy, then,â the Doctor says conversationally. âThat it? No, not perfect Jack, of course not, never. Just the perfect blend of gentleman, boyfriend, and scoundrel, him. The ideal human mate!â
Rose shakes her head. âIâm sorry, the what-now?â
âItâs fine, Rose,â the Doctor says, forcing on a grin thatâs surely strained. âYou donât need to explain yourself. You donât owe me that. You donât owe me anything. Weâll just find Jack, and then you two can run off and have your fun and your romance. All right?â
âHave myâwhat are you even talking about?â asks Rose, stalking up to him. âWhere is all of this coming from?â
âObservation, mostly,â the Doctor says pleasantly.
âRight. I donât know what you think youâve observed, butââ
And suddenly both of them snap to attention at the sound of a key in the lock, the door-handle jiggling loudly in the quiet.
In the split-second that follows, the Doctor tries to thinkârun? Nowhere to run, theyâre in a tiny hotel room; hide? But surely theyâve already been heardâbut Roseâs brain must be working a little faster than his somehow, because before heâs even had a chance to react, sheâs shoved him flat on the bed and sheâs straddling him by the waist, ducking down to press a bruising kiss to his mouth.
The Doctorâs brain grinds to a halt.
Sheâtheyâshe justâheâ
Heâs never had an experience where both of his hearts stopped for a good reason, before.
âCleaning serviâoh, oh my!â gasps a voice by the door.
Rose sits back at the sound and through the fog currently short-circuiting his brain the Doctor manages to look over at the door, to see a middle-aged cleaning maid standing there, clutching her cleaning-cart and blushing furiously.
âBlimey!â she squeaks, shielding her eyes. âBegging your pardon, sir, maâam, I thought you were out for the evening!â
âNot anymore, Iâm afraid,â Rose laughs, which is just as well, because the Doctor is too busy reeling to find his voice (or even his thoughts) at the moment. At least his hands had enough sense to plant themselves on Roseâs waist so theyâre not flailing about like a pair of nerve-addled bats.
âStill on the honeymoon,â Rose continues, flashing the maid a shy but winning grin. Her voice is just the littlest breathy and shaky and very convincing, so much so that even the Doctor could almost believe the two of them had just beenâwell.
âYou know how it is,â Rose adds, coyly biting her lip.
âAye, once upon a time I did, maâam,â the maid chuckles. âIâll see to it youâre not disturbed the rest of the evening.â
âThanks,â Rose laughs breathily before pushing the Doctor back down on the bed, kissing him passionately as the maid closes the door behind her. Her lips part against his, warm and sweet and betraying just the slightest hint of moisture asâ
As a loud click lets them know the door is locked once again, and then Rose immediately stops, breaking the kiss. Pulling back, she locks eyes with the Doctor, her cheeks almost as bright as the housekeeperâs. Several long seconds tick agonizingly by, marked only by the fluttering of Roseâs lashes, the gentle heaving of her chest.
Roseâs lips part, like she might say something (or like she might bend down and kiss him again, the Doctor almost hopes) but he must be looking at her with the universeâs most daft expression, mouth agape and eyes wide as saucers, because the next thing he knows, sheâs lifting herself off of him, smoothing back her hair and resituating her dress.
The Doctor sits up after her, forcing himself to stop staring. What is he, some kind of idiot?
âSorry,â Rose laughs, all traces of breathlessness gone.
âSâall right,â the Doctorâs mouth says for him; his brain is still catching up.
âAlthough youâve got to admit,â Rose adds, resuming her investigation of the room as if absolutely nothing just happened, âas a diversion it was fairly effective.â
The Doctor scratches the back of his neck. âIâve had worse.â
âAnd Iâve had better,â Rose teases, her tongue trapped between her teeth. âYouâre a little rusty, Doctor.â
âExcuse me,â the Doctor huffs indignantly, âmaybe I just need a little more advance notice than your average boy-toy.â
âWell, as an above-average boy-toy, Iâm sure Jack would be happy to give you some pointers.â
And there it is again, that feeling of something hot sizzling in his chest. âAnd Iâm sure he can go sod right off,â says the Doctor, surprising himself.
Rose shoots him a dirty look over her shoulder. âWhatâs gotten into you? Whatâs with this mood today, why are you so cross with Jack?â
âIâm not.â
âYou are, youâve been saying nasty little things about him all day.â
âI havenât.â
âCouldâve fooled me,â says Rose, righting the frame of a crooked painting on the wall. âIf I didnât know any better, Iâd say you were acting jealous again.â
The hot feeling grows hotter. âIâve got nothing to be jealous about,â insists the Doctor.
ââCourse not,â mocks Rose. âCos youâve never gotten jealous about sharing me with another man, before.â
âShouldnât have to,â he mutters.
âWhat was that?â
âI said I shouldnât have to,â the Doctor says loudly.
âWhat? Get jealous, or share me?â
The Doctorâs fists ball at his side. Either one, he doesnât say.
âWhatever,â scoffs Rose, as if heâd gone ahead and spoken the words aloud. âNot like it makes any difference anyway.â
The hot feeling pulses in his chest and pounds in his ears and maybe itâs because of the kiss or maybe itâs because Rose already seems to have forgotten it or maybe itâs just because of this bloody damn day but that line in the sand is growing dangerously thin, all of a sudden, and before he gives himself the chance to think better of it, the Doctor is pushing off the bed and striding towards the door, grabbing a chair so he can wedge it beneath the door-handle before he stalks over to Rose.
âWhat?â she mocks. âDonât want the maid to see us having a row? That too domestic forââ
The Doctor pins her to the wall, grasping her by the chin to pull her up for a punishing kiss. She gasps against his mouth and fuck, he wants to take advantage of that opening, he really does, wants to force her mouth open so his tongue can dart inside and really properly tease her, taste her, but he settles for prolonging the kiss, offering no quarter and no mercy until Rose has to pull back, panting for breath. She looks up at him with eyes wide from shock andâand gods, he hopes thatâs not fear he sees, because that would kill him, it really would.
He doesnât want to frighten her. He just wants her to see. Wants her to know.
But thereâs still that goddamn line to preserve.
Drawing back a little, the Doctor braces himself with both hands against the wall, one on either side of Rose. âTell me to stop,â he says quietly, even as he cages her in, even as every atom in his being is screaming for her.
Jaw set, defiant once again, Rose shakes her head No.
Oh. Thatâs not fear in her eyes. Thatâs not fear at all.
Relief washes the line away like the ocean at high tide and the Doctor lets himself fall.
He leans in and kisses her again, claiming her mouth with a fierceness that leaves no room for doubt. He might worry that heâs being too rough, too soon but Rose is giving as good as she gets, yanking him in by the lapels as she deepens the kiss. Her hands slip beneath his jacket to clutch him by the shoulders, her fingernails sharp even through the fabric of his jumper. His tongue brushes her plump lower lip and itâs a heady realization, that he can taste how much she wants this, how much she wants him. Itâs enough to make him dizzy but he doesnât stop, he wants more, his tongue plunging into her mouth, and the breathy little whimper that escapes her lets the Doctor know he was rightâthose delightful sounds Rose made earlier in the day were definitely due to arousal. And the sweet scent lingering in the air lets him know sheâs wonderfully aroused right now, almost certainly wet with it.
Because of him. No one else. Just him.
Good.
Lips still on hers, the Doctor pulls up her skirts so both hands can sneak beneath, grabbing Rose by the hips and pulling her roughly into him. He has every intention of tearing off those ridiculous little knickers of hers but then she arches into him, her hands slipping beneath his jumper and nails dragging across his stomach and her chest pressed against his, and itâs all too much and itâs not nearly enough and his hips are grinding against hers as he hardens between them.
Dimly it occurs to the Doctor that Rose does not seem nearly as shocked by all of this as he might have imaginedâindeed, heâs shocked himself with this pure impetuous driving animal needâand he wonders if, on some level, Rose maneuvered things to this conclusion.
Well. He smiles against her lips. Two can play that game.
He hitches one of her legs over his waist and thrusts into her, the friction and the heat almost unbearably delicious even despite all the layers in the way, and Rose must think so, too, because sheâs panting against the Doctorâs mouth, her nails scratching lines of fire down his back. She lets out another strained whimper and fuck, heâs not going to last, not even with his trousers on, not if she keeps making those needy little noises while rutting against his cock like that.
So he repositions, wedging a thigh between hers to maintain the friction she needs while one hand travels up to palm one of the breasts thatâs been positively fucking begging for his touch all day long. He can just feel the peak of her nipple through her corset and dress, stiffening sharply as he circles it with his thumb, and Rose bites down on his lower lip, sending a jolt of pleasure straight down to his cock. Rose reaches for his belt buckle but the Doctor stops her, grabbing her by the wrist and pinning it back to the wall.
âNot yet,â he growls softly. âNot until I say so.â
Sheâs glassy-eyed with surprise but he doesnât give her an opportunity to respond, rips down the neckline of her dress instead so he can cup and tease her bare breasts with his free hand while his other holds her wrist tight against the wall. Rose breaks their kiss, eyes pinched tight in concentration as she rides his thigh, sweat beading and glistening on her breasts and her brow, and the Doctor realizes sheâs about to climax, right here, right now, just like this.
Positively brimming with pride (and isnât that a first, in this incarnation) the Doctor presses a kiss to her jaw, tracing a line up to her ear, lips ghosting the shell of it. âCome for me, Rose,â he murmurs, his voice as husky and deep as heâs ever heard it, and she shudders. He lifts his hand to cup her cheek, his thumb teasing her swollen lower lip. âCome for me, love.â
Her teeth graze his thumb as she bites down on the cry that tries to escape her, her arms shaking and hips stuttering, her legs clenching tight against his thigh. The Doctor can feel the aftershocks ripping through her and he holds her tight, relishing the movement and heat of her body against his, the knowledge that heâs the one doing this to her, that all of this is because of him. Not Jack, not Ricky, not Adam or Jimmy or any other stupid pretty boy who might be sharp enough to fall in love with Rose but could never be good enough to deserve her. Of course, neither is he, but heâs at least clever enough to recognize that, and to do everything he can to make up for it; he may not always have the right words but his mouth can still say what his voice canât, offering praise along with his hands and his tongue and all of him, really.
Those little men will never see Rose the way he does. The Doctor almost pities them for it.
(Only almost.)
Panting, Rose pushes a strand of sweat-slicked hair out of her face. âYou, erm,â she says between breaths, flashing the Doctor a lazy blissful smile. âYou gonna let me touch you, now?â
Heâs still got her wrist pinned to the wall. He lets go.
âTake off your clothes, please,â he tells her.
Biting her lip, Rose obeys, pushing her torn dress down over her hips, her eyes fixed on his. She wriggles the dress past her thighs to reveal those tiny knickers of hers, completely soaked through and now thoroughly ruined. The sight and smell of those ruined knickers ignites a small flame of male satisfaction the Doctor wasnât even aware he possessed, something he might have wrinkled his nose at once upon a time, but now, watching Rose pop open the front of her corset, peeling off the knickers afterânow he rather likes the feeling, knowing that he can make Rose feel like this, that she trusts him like this. That heâs earned her trust, and this privilege.
Thereâs only the faintest hint of shyness from Rose once sheâs naked beneath the Doctorâs gaze, but itâs enough to make his hearts swell almost uncomfortably behind his ribs, so the Doctor dips down to press his mouth to hers, softly, to kiss any lingering doubt away.
âGood girl,â he murmurs afterward, and smiles as Roseâs cheeks and ears flush pink. âNow get on the bed.â
The moment she does, the Doctor grasps her by the hips and slides her bum to the edge, pinning her down against the mattress as he presses a hungry kiss to her mouth. Impatient, Rose pushes at his jacket and he shrugs out of it, but he doesnât make any effort to remove the rest of his clothing, his hands gliding up the insides of her thighs instead. His fingers tease her until sheâs wet again, gloriously wet and gasping and clinging to him as she fucks his hand. He dips down to kiss the expanse of neck and shoulder that were tormenting him earlier and stops beneath her ear, lips caressing the soft skin there.
For a brief moment, the Doctor just breathes her in, inebriating himself on the smell of her. Then he latches on, giving her skin a good hard suck. Rose cries out, thighs clenching around his hand. Drawing back, the Doctor can see the mark he left behind, petal-pink blossoming in the shape of his mouth, and it shocks him how much he likes to see that, the visual evidence that heâs claimed her, that sheâs his. He wants to taste more of her, he thinks, let his mouth explore and lick and nip and tug until sheâs begging for mercyâ
âDoctor,â Rose pants, but with a start he realizes she isnât begging, sheâs demanding, hooking her legs around his waist and pulling him down, into her. She rolls her hips against his aching cock and all other thoughts and plans fly right out the window as he realizes heâs bound to spontaneously combust if he doesnât give her exactly what she wants and fuck her right now. In a second his belt is unlatched and trousers and pants shoved out of the way and heâs pushing into her with one smooth slick thrust, groaning at the hot wet clench of her muscles around him. He draws back and pushes in again, and again, and again, brow knit tight and mouth falling open because itâs good, itâs too good, itâs too much, heâs losing himself, drowning in her, and dying never felt so sublime.
âYouâre mine,â he gasps, surprising himself, but Rose doesnât look surprised at all, she just nods, glassy-eyed and breathless as he fucks her. âYouâre mine,â he says again, kissing her fiercely as his hands pull her hips into his, harder, faster, more.
She nods again.
âSay it.â
âI am, Iâm yours,â she chokes out, clenching around him, and his grip on her tightens. Heâs hurtling toward the edge, spurred on by her words and her heat and her everything else but now thereâs guilt chiming in too, because what the fuck is wrong with him, why would he say that, why would he make her say that, why would he make her do any of this, why the fuck would he allow her to give herself to him when heâs nothing but a broken wretched old man, and she deserves so much moreâ
âHey,â says Rose, and his thoughts must be written across his face because suddenly her hands are cupping his jaw, forcing him to look at her. âDonât do that,â she says between gasps. âDonât wander off. Stay with me. Be here with me.â
His lips part but Rose doesnât let any words out, stoppers his mouth with hers. âJust let us have this,â she pants against his lips. âPlease. Please. My Doctor.â
Something in him snaps and he buries his face in her neck, muffling his cries as he empties into her. His head floods pleasantly with bliss but heâs just coherent enough to slide a hand between them, urging Rose along. Rose follows soon after, muscles convulsing around him, nipples sharp even through his jumper, and the Doctor feels a twinge of regret that he didnât finish undressing, that he isnât feeling her skin properly sliding against his. Rose must be feeling the same way; even as her hips stutter and slow, sheâs sliding her hands back beneath his jumper, exploring every expanse of skin she can reach.
The Doctor sighs with something that feels suspiciously like contentment.
âI am, you know,â he says quietly.
She doesnât reply; he half-wonders if sheâs already fallen asleep, somehow.
âYours,â he adds, voice soft.
Roseâs arms tighten around him in a hug, her heart fluttering against both of his.
She doesnât say anything. She doesnât have to.
He knows.
 ***
 Apparently Jack knows it, too.
âThat dress didnât tear itself,â the Doctor overhears him whispering to Rose after they sneak out of the Piratesâ ship. âNot to mention you smell like all the sex.â
âOh my god, shut up,â Rose replies, laughing.
âI will not! Tell me everything!â
âIf you donât behave, I will hurt you.â
âOoh, promise?â
âI will put you in time-out,â Rose amends, mouth twitching with the effort to hold back a smile, âand I will hide the sonic so that those,â she adds, pointing to the shackles clamped over both of his wrists, ânever come off again.â
Jack shoots her a sly grin. âBut then how would you two ever get to use them?â
The Doctor feels a flush creeping up the back of his neck as Roseâs eyes widen, her mouth dropping open. âPervert!â she shrieks, and Jack crows in laughter as he takes off running down the road, Rose chasing after him. Itâs a good thing theyâre out in the country nowâtheyâd wake up the neighborhood, shouting and laughing and carrying on like that in the city. But eventually they settle for huddling together, arm-in-arm, as they whisper and snicker all the way back to the TARDIS.
The Doctor maintains some space, trailing a little ways after, so the humans can have their fun and theirâhe smiles a littleâtheir feelings. Itâs actually nice, he thinks, seeing Rose so giddy and full of joy, seeing her laugh and smile like that, even with someone else. Sheâs far too bright and loving and big-hearted to be kept to one person, he realizes. She deserves to share herself with whomever she wishes, not to be hoarded like gold in the fist of a grumpy old miser. Rose deserves to love freely, and to be loved freely, in return.
(Theyâre definitely going to make use of those shackles, though.)

So You Want To Fuck An Alien...
This post is focused on the species Vichtels (Jonathan, Maelle, Dmitri, Annemeike, etc) and how sex works for them.Â
For obvious reasons, this post is 18+ and will feature lots of nasty, sexy, kinky words~
The Biology
Vichtels are quite similar when it comes to biological sex, except that men tend to grow more hair and women tend to be taller, plus females can be a bit more aggressive than the males (kinda how for humans, males build muscles easier than females. A human female can build just as much of muscles than a guy and a vichtel male can be just as aggressive as a female, but you get my point)
They have a nook & bulge, shamelessly stolen from Homestuck. Nooks = vaginas (without a vulva though) and bulges = tenta-dicks.Â
The Bulge
The bulge rests inside the nook until they get aroused, which is when it slips out. It can move on its own without the Vichtel controlling it, and it can vary speed.
Alike human genatilia, it comes in various girths and lengths and can look differently, but it is usually thicker at the base and more thin at the top. It also carries the semen (which dribbles out in much larger amounts than a human cums)
The Nook
As mentioned, the nook doesnât have any vulva lips or clitoris, or anything similar. Itâs just as stretchy as a vag, despite that the children donât come out from their nooks, but from their chests. It has a small room near the stomach where the bulge is curled up.
Erogenous Zones
Top Zones are their necks, thighs, butt and a fine line that runs across the middle of their chest. They donât have nipples, as they donât feed their young from their own bodies, but that line is where their chest will âopenâ to let the bud (aka baby) out. Itâs very sensitive as the skin is incredibly thin and if one isnât careful, they can seriously hurt their Vichtel lover if they mess around that part. (So donât dig your nails there, unless you want blood)
Sex
Vichtels donât have intense gender roles. Some say that women are meant to fight and men are supposed to provide for their homes, others say that women are better with kids, some say that a true family consists of two men and two women and they should take turns, etc. When it comes to arguing, theyâre just as good as humans.Â
When two of them meet and they click, they may go back to their homes for a one-or-more night stand. Since the concepts of purity and marriage arenât as strong, quick sex isnât shameful for most.Â
They usually have sex standing as itâs easier for them, but some may be so bold and lie down oor even sit on each otherâs lap. During intercourse, bulges may intertwine, but usually find each otherâs nooks. Without protection, the one that cums last is the one who gets pregnant*.Â
The Dangers
Protection
Diseases exist, and so does protection. Itâs not that different from ours, condoms for both nook & bulge, mouth and finger guards, pills to keep from getting sick or pregnant.Â
There are also magic protections, as it is an energy exchange and Vichtels are all psychic. If they had sex with someone from another species who was also psychic, there could be some negative influences for both parties. Itâs different though, if this is a romantic couple, as they will have gotten used to each otherâs energies, or are strong enough to handle it.Â
Pregnancies
Vichtels can get pregnant from other species. So far, it can be done with a little extra medical help, but they can carry human (+and other) children. However they need to be registered together with their alien lover if they are going to start a half bred family. Itâs illegal not to be, this is for the safety of the children (as half breds are quite beloved in illegal slave / pet markets)
Injuries
YES you can get hurt badly or even die if you arenât careful! God help you if a Maelle catches wind of you trying to have sex with a Jonathan without having read a manual first.Â
The first way to get hurt is oral sex. If youâre a big fan of giving blowjobs, this species may not be one for you. The bulge acts by its own will and what it wants is to find somewhere warm and wet to crawl into. If you give it your throat, it will try to go all the way down and there is a good chance you will suffocate (which is not worth it. Even in the Office, Jonathan will cry if he accidently hurts his lovers)
Vichtels are almost always taller, stronger and sometimes heavier than a human (or a humanoid person) and can accidently injure them. They are also naturally more violent, which shouldnt be a problem unless you try to have rough sex with them. Some of them can forget how easily breakable a humanâs body is and it can lead to broken bones and bruises at best.Â
In rare cases, having sex with a Vichtel on Earth can give their lover awful nightmares. Vichtels may be much more durable physically, but there is something about living here (or in the Ofice) that royally fucks with their brains. After a while, they can get used to it, but particularily sensitive folks (such as Jons) can end up suffering from night terrors and more, which can be passed down for a short while to their unfortunate victim. (Thankfully, they do have great medicine to combat this)
Kink & BDSM
The kinkiest ones are the kismets (another term stolen from Homestuck, kismets are basically hate-lovers/enemies-in-love/partners who hate each other romantically)
Pain, rope and all kinds of other play are a big hit with them and there is stigma against matesprits/lovers being kinky because itâs âsocially claimedâ by the kismets.Â
For personalized scenes, Vichtels use their powers to make play more interesting. Jonathan can create illusions of himself, or places in which he would like to take his lover. Maelle, having the power of grounding, can âpinâ a certain feeling to someone (like pleasure or pain) and make them feel it for as long as she wants.Â
Popular play types are fighting for power, hunting / catching, master/slave roleplay and guardian/weakling. Power play and pride is a big topic in their society, as their entire history is based off wars and families dictating and taking over weaker families to steal their riches + property. So D/s relationships are quite common in the bedroom.Â
Toys
Vibrators, dildos, pocket pussys and the like are modeled after their anatomy, clearly bigger, longer and more powerful. Lube is not very common, as their genatilia self-lubricates a lot and there is really so much to lube up, but some people have preferences for them.
Now onto toys that donât resemble human ones.Â
There are power enhancers (chewed like candy, fit for those who want to play with their powers but get distracted easily during sex), âbulge stoppersâ (sleeves that keep the bulge from wriggling out of the nook - the bulge will try to escape anyway and end up rubbing against the sleeve for stimulation), fake sex slaves (aka what would happen if a meeseeks box crosses over with a horny anime maid) and aphrodisiacs powerful enough to give someone an orgasm without stimulation (it tastes like candy and can be fed to a sub / be taken during masturbation)
~~~
In short, donât try to swallow a bulge, youâre safe to get creamp*ed if youâre a human, you can have babies with your alien lover and lots of fun with them too~
*The last one who cums gets pregnant - sounds like the title of some weird porn but its true, the âtopâ (the one who manages to pleasure themselves first, remember they are very into conquering each other) releases a special hormone that makes the other receptive to their seed, and it works vice versa - the âbottomâsâ body reacts to an orgasm from their partner(s) when they didnt come yet themselves and opens itself up to being receptive. Itâs okay when theyâre with a human partner or from another species, only in rare case will they get pregnant.
Itâs extra risky when they have group sex (Vichtels can be v poly) because then multiple folks can get pregnant if they dont have protection. Perfect for a big family, awkward for an orgy.Â
So the Clash of Wilds and Blood that I write was flagged soooo ao3 is going to be the only place I can put itÂ
