Hey, weird question. Are there any lemon seeds back there? I dunno if they were able to send one of everything 'cus we weren't exactly rolling in storage space despite how big the Hail Mary is. Just wondering.
" lemon? " simon murmurs, putting down the mister bottle to scratch at his stubble in thought. they've been on erid for a few months now, as best settled in as any humans could be on an alien planet --- but simon still hadn't memorized exactly everything he had transported from the hail mary. sure, he took all the seeds and even the fake plants first once it was deemed safe, though that was more blind instinct based ... considering he had no personal items besides the vague claim he stuck into the ship's greenery. thankfully, the bloodnaut had placed them all in one area, and even organized them by name: shouldn't be too hard to check.
simon turns to what was once a file cabinet, now turned greenhouse storage, and begins to rifle through it --- his pointer finger flicking through the letters ... A ... B ... C ...
" let me see. "
I ... J ... K ... L: here we go, nestled between some lavandula and lilium seeds.
" we have a single bag. " simon calls over his shoulder for grace to come see, pinching the foil bag between his middle finger and thumb to slip it out so that he can examine it closer ... " ' first lemon seeds in space ' is written on the back here ... so i'm guessing these are the first. "
simon can't debate the fact of that: he doesn't even know what the hell a lemon is. so he simply passes the bag over to grace. " fruit or vegetable? "
