Lemmethryn
Hello everyone. As we answer your requests, we thought you might want to know who are answering them. So here we are!
Many of you may already know that our founder is Elverynel. She started with offering her knowledge on Sindarin to you all. And it is a good thing that she did, because I found her beautiful blog! After viewing it, I decided to join this fellow Ñoldo, under the name Elaran, Starking. But life can be hard to keep up with, so we needed a break…
While we both had to deal with our daily lives, I did more research on Sindarin and joined great linguistic groups. There, I met the most knowledgable people on Eldarin Tongues. As we shared our knowledge and ideas with each other, we got even better. After some time, I was ready to come back and start answering your requests again. But that’s not the only thing I did… I brought two Lambengolmor with me! And they would like to say hello to you!
Mae govannen! My name is Hjalmar Holm, and I am a Forestry student in northern Scandinavia. My interest in Tolkien has spilled over to language and linguistics in general, and my goal is to make Sindarin a spoken tongue. And from now on, I join the Eledhren team under the name “Gilorn”. Anor calo bo i ven dhîn!
Suilon ilphen, mellonath! My name is Alexander Zapryagaev (I also hang out at Google+ ’Languages of Middle-Earth’ community) and I join the Eledhren team from now on. I’m a mathematical student from Moscow with a life-long addiction to linguistics who is totally enslaved by the power and beauty of the Eldarin tongues. My goal is to make a speakable Sindarin out of all the known information and (which makes my approach different) instead of going ‘synthetic’ and harvesting data from lots of incompatible sources I wish to re-create the 'final’ stage of Sindarin development by Tolkien corresponding to post-1969 sources. I’m always ready to explain my editorial decisions and accept your ideas if they are well-supported by deduction and facts! Questions about Sindarin (and Quenya) vocabulary, grammar and asking for learning tips will also be answered! I hope for a thrilling ride together! Ae Aerennel, roñgail in•Elin!
