Asher had been sitting outside his penthouse apartment for about an hour now. Although Ellie had suggested he break the door in, he decided to wait until she got there, just in case there was the slightest chance she could talk her way in, and save his door the humiliation. Pursing his lips, Asher laid his head back against the door, sighing and knocking it against the door a few more times. He'd already called to her a few times, arguing back and forth on opposite sides of the door frame, but at this point he had nothing else to lose. "Come on, Abby." he called, resigned. She was mad, that was for sure. Angry, pissed, infuriated. And now she was here, hauled up in his apartment, yelling about everything he'd ever done wrong in his entire life. It was a bit like having the inside of his head take on the form of his petite, loud mouthed sister.
Moving down to the floor, Asher positioned himself sitting, with his head still against the door. Looking out across the hall to a window on the opposite end, one much like the large window in his living room, one that overlooked practically the whole city. In the night like this, the buildings seemed to glow, illuminating the night. It reminded him vaguely of home, in New York. Closing his eyes for a moment, he heard the sound of the elevator beeping, and hoped it was Ellie, because frankly, the sound of glass breaking on the inside of the apartment wasn't exactly helping his suspicions.
