just a note about dan's unconditional acceptance (i dont wanna sound bitchy but just to explain it lol): im sure u know but he took a year out between his a levels and uni which meant he already had his results, so he wasn't waiting on grades which would determine his acceptance. v few (if any) top uk unis give unconditional offers to people still sitting a levels, but for (most) ppl who already have their grades, they Only give out unconditionals bc theres nothing else they have to do to get in
(2) the only major exceptions are courses like medicine which sometimes require a bit of practical experience in the field before uni which students might get in their year off and then they'll like submit evidence to prove they did it before the uni acceptance deadline. not to say dan's not smart or that he was undeserving of the unconditional, but it's a pretty standard thing for anyone taking a gap year between college and uni here
OHHHHHH omg thank u millie! yeah that’s definitely the kind of thing i wouldn’t find on google so this helps a lot! it’s interesting since dan seemed super excited about it from his old tweets so i always assumed it was a big thing. like yeah he and phil still celebrated i’m sure but his parents were probably pretty eh about it all (which is gonna be super helpful for this wip actually so i’m hyped now)
