This - this looks potentially awesome...So fluffy
The people from Bigshot Toyworks based themselves on My Little Pony to create this Cthulhu-themed version of the iconic characters. This one is named "Little Maddie" and will be featured in a serie...
OMG these things look so cute I want like the whole lot of them!!
Wait for it...
Husband comes down the stairs looks at the TV, then to me.
Husband: What is this?
Me: *smirks and stays quite, waits for him to figure it out*
Husband: This is something Dune related isn't it?
Me: *laughs maniacally* Happy New Year Babe
Husband: *grumbles heads to bathroom*
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :) [Source: Sirpatstew on Instagram | Via]

I'm guessing this is a thing now. Can we get all the guys from the Expendables to do a skit like this? Arnie leg splitting between two Predator's or T-1000 bots, Sylvester leg splitting between random bandits or boxing gloves, Terry Crews leg splitting between Old Spice deodorant bars or just some random thing because it is Terry Crews....
Tierny Who's Year of Writing Sort of
Hmm it has been an odd year for me and writing. In the past I think the bulk of any type of writing I have done has been in groups, clubs, chat board places, etc. writing as different characters. Some have been made up and some have been my take on a certain character from a TV show or comic/movie. Most notable characters I have played: Tessa (from X-Men whatever), Faith (Buffy/Angel Verse), Riddick (Pitch Black), Dax (original character). I'm not in those groups anymore as I can't post as often and unless with a good group I'm not sure I could be invested in keeping up with it (also had some bad run-ins with plot masters or sub-plot masters) But real life has been a bit of a hamper on being in those types of things anymore. Also I secretly, not so secretly write for an online site (been doing this for 3 years - woo) which has drained a bit of my creative spark as I used to have to write about things I really didn't much want to talk about. These days I get to choose what I can write about which has given me a bit of freedom and less pain in regards to writing.
But my dearest Heathen would be online and want to talk to me and sometimes I couldn't Skype because the husband thing is in the room with me and we are watching things. So she would pull me into these chat rooms usually where people would war. I had a hard time wrapping my head around it for a really long time. I mean what could I write about just off the cuff of my sleeve? It was a bit daunting to me and hard to jolt my brain into activity. This chat room area is generally made up of a group of people that are predominantly fans of Sherlock and have super ships of all types of relationships there in abouts. I am not a huge fan of Sherlock, I fear I'd be flogged for my some of my more recent thoughts on re-watching the series to remember what the heck happened and feeling a certain way about the show. Then again not everyone loves everything, so I guess I am just the weird one out there. Plus I think it has just affirmed I am not a fan, but that doesn't mean I won't watch the show - I just think there is too much in my already obsessed brain vying for attention that some shows just don't make the cut to fandom stage. Sorry, not really.
Anyway, she also told me about AO3 and threw a lot of fics at me. Some I have read, some I have partially read and never gone back to read the rest. She has written a lot of hot stuff that I remember reading. But AO3 was a place that threw my brain through a bit of a loop, I know it is not always a very porny, smutty, fluffy place but a lot of what is on there does tend to float in one of those genres. Usually what is in my brain story wise has never been close to those, maybe fluffy in some of the things I've written but definitely nothing too explicit or too risky. This is not to say I have never written anything like that just I think it has been a very long time since my brain has gone that way. So not sure when I signed up but I just threw up a few short stories in July that I had rummaging around as I tried to get my brain in order.
All during this time I have been playing Mass Effect, obsessing about playing Mass Effect, looking at Mass Effect things and wondering if people will think I am crazy if I buy them. So much Mass Effect and lusting after all the love interests... especially the sexy aliens and certain Majors.... In fact at about August I was super in love with the Alenko/FemShep romance. I have no idea how many fics I read during that time - but it was likely a lot. I posted up my first real smutty/fluffy fic in AO3 Fated Reunion warning in might be a little NSFW. Also I tend to swear in the fics I write. It is a thing. It was my first foray and actually got a nice comment. Woo
September I posted up three fics again Mass Effect related. You might as well go ahead and assume that until my brain latches onto something else it will be lots of Mass Effect stuff spewing into worded form. Also not sure when but I started to fall in love with FemShep/Garrus.. so yeah. Two were fairly short and then I started writing a long story. At the time I did not have firm time of posting in the long story When You're Strange, (NSFW in some spots), whenever I was done with a chapter I just posted it up. But then I found I was posting the Chapter's continually on a Sunday so that just fit in nice for when I added a new Chapter. Also being 12 chapters in I am fairly invested on finishing this story and yes it does have an end. I try to make sure I'm at least writing stance several chapters ahead from the Chapter I post up. Just takes a lot of pressure off me to know that if my brain fries out or can't think of anything that I have a bit of a buffer.
So that is where my writing is at. I have zero clue if anything I am writing people like or hate or whatever. This is the first time I am doing this type of writing which is new for me. There are so many good writers in the Mass Effect fandom and I get nervous sometimes that there haven't been comments on my stories. I am generally over critical of my writing and I have been doing all my writing without a beta. But I am trying to put a bit of trust in myself and the worth of my words. I also figure if people hated what I posted up they would leave a comment or message thing and rag me out. None of those things have happened so I figure I'm doing something good. Might not be great but hey for someone who has been a life long writer and struggled in getting a beginning, a middle or even an end to a story happening this a bit of a success for me.
Total word count in AO3 since July: 57,373
This is your Christmas, Yule, whatever present. Best I could find given my meager searching abilities. Love you bunches. Happy Ho Ho and stuff
