🔴 - he’s actually very suspicious of newcomers, and struggles fully trust people. people don’t really expect this, since he’s basically in charge of recruiting for the rebellion and seems to get along well with most people. those who are genuinely close to him can tell when he does actually trust someone, usually through what information he shares.
🟠 - he has really bad anxiety, almost debilitating sometimes, but he tries not to show it. he tries to present himself as confident, but he does accept his anxiety.
🟡 - he wants to go to a real, actual school, but knows he’ll never because of how education laws work in auradon. he hates that he probably never will, but he’s happy at least he got equivalent education from varian.
🟢 - a strength that can turn into a weakness is the way he owns his decisions. once he’s decided on something, it’s decided and he goes with it. this can get him into bad situations a lot.
🔵 - if he had a day of uninterrupted peace he’d probably just sleep. he has bad insomnia, so an entire day to sleep is exactly what he needs.
🟣 - definitely his family. everything he does is for his family, and without them he has nothing to live for.
⚪️ - probably when he was five, when everything happened with sarousch. i’ve changed the events to fit demon hunter au better, but that was his first experience with real danger, his first exposure to the world. he’s had arguably worse experiences since then, but that changed him fundamentally.
⚫️ - he’s never really felt fully in control or secure. there’s always something that keeps him from feeling that way.
🎱 - i don’t want to spoil too many things, but one time he snuck into belos’ labs. which uh. no one who enters his labs without permission leaves, so he was very lucky to get out.
🔮 - he just wants a future where his family is fully safe.
🪩 - so, as a bit of world building, after the war ended there were a few rebel hideouts, but mostly disconnected. he manages to restart contact between them all. it had a huge impact, as it means more people can be helped.
⚽️ - he admires three people a lot: clopin, elena, and varian. he’s very open about it.
