Summary: The dark sides have been planning something big for their big holiday coming up. The light sides can’t handle the anticipation and intervene. 

Note: Tickle fic! Lee Virgil, Remus and Deceit. Ler Logan and Patton. No clue why I excluded Roman but here I am! I’m really happy with this one!

“Now. This can be really simple. We just want a few questions answered. That’s understandable. We’ve been very confused due to your changes in behaviour. We would be very grateful if you just simply told us.” Logan tilted his head and kept his body language open. 

“Screw this! Right! You’re all tied up right now. Can't move. Can’t hide. Can’t do anything. Doesn’t matter if you tell us anything. We can keep you all here all day.” Patton harshly clapped his hands. Pacing around the bed while side eyeing the three dark sides tied to the bed. His face strained into a harsh neutral expression. Utterly completely totally unaffected by the three wobbly smiles and tiny giggles from the three typically serious dark sides. 

“We’re not saying anything! Torture us all you want! We’ll never talk!” Remus wailed. But Patton immediately saw an entirely different story. He wouldn’t make any eye contact and his smile refused to dim. 

Okay. this is going to be my last one. I feel like, at this point, I’m just repeating myself. But this has been genuinely so so so much fun! And, if I can be vague for a second, this whole thing bodes well for a future project I’m planning. 

1. Who has the cutest tickle laugh?

Logan’s of course! His laugh already is beautiful with all its snorts and squeals compared to his normal serious self, but there’s a particular laugh that is Janus’ favourite. It’s a shame because he’s yet to cause that laugh again. He was tickling his sides while Logan was lying on his stomach and his hands drifted to back of his ribs, on his back. It was just the most frantic uncontrollable giggles you’ve ever heard. Logan’s choked attempts at saying ‘oh sweet lord this really tickles’. Neither of them knew his back was ticklish and Logan’s sheer panic at the hidden tickle spot which is very ticklish. The laughter from a new tickle spot where it tickles a new way and the panic of not realising he was ticklish produced the best laughter Janus has ever heard. His biggest regret in life is not recording that laugh. Oh well, all the more reason to try and replicate that laughter. 

2. Who is ticklish in unusual places and where would that be?

Not really an unusual spot but more like unusual tickles. Janus quite likes experimenting with how to tickle in his snake form and one day, when he was a teeny weeny snake, he managed to curl around one of Logan’s individual toe. And Logan’s feet is his death spot. Logan wasn’t really aware of his own screaming laughs but the fact that all the others (including Remus, so it must’ve been bad) came storming into the room with various weapons. None of them even saw the small tiny little yellow noodle slowly twisting around Logan’s little toe. 

3. Who gets cheer-up tickles?

Janus. Logan has this habit of resting his hands underneath Janus’ cape near his ribs to keep his hands warm or even just to have a spot to keep his hands while talking. This then evolved into slow gentle tracing around Janus’ ribs and of course he can’t bat away at his hands because no one can even tell that Logan’s hands are under there and there’s no way he’s telling the whole mindscape he’s ticklish. But this quickly become a way for Logan to help Janus realise he’s stressed and needs to take a moment. His hands will go from gently resting to slowly curling fingers around his ribs and it completely takes Janus out of the moment and helps him realise that he’s screaming in frustration at an upset Patton. It becomes a way for Janus to know when he’s hitting a nerve or needs to back away and calm down. 

4. Who takes advantage of the other one getting their arms stuck while taking off their shirt?

Janus loves to take advantage of Logan because Logan is so delightfully clueless. Not only is he useless in the mornings but he’s very ‘no funny business’ and doesn’t even think it’s fathomable that Janus will tickle and joke with him. His brain is turning on! Of course no one will try to start a conversation with him! And so it is the perfect time to attack his little pudgy sides with tickles or scitter up his spine as he walks by. To make it even better, Logan always forget by the next morning and will just stand there will Janus creeps forward with wiggling fingers. 

5. How did they discover each other’s ticklishness?

Logan’s ticklishness was discovered when Janus was in his snake form. Janus made it a habit to turn into a snake so he could extra appreciate the warmth. But Janus decided to finally take a leap and slide up to (gently) around his neck rather than curled up in his lap. But his sliding scales going up his arm before settling and curling around his ticklish neck. To make it worse, this was after a long day’s work and so Logan didn’t even try to hide his giggles. It took him a worrying amount of time to notice Janus had stopped and was now staring at him in front of his head with a judgmental snake look.

Janus’ ticklishness isn’t much of a story. I have no clue where this has come from; I don’t even ever have consistent height headcanons. BUT! Janus has made it his place to sit down is Logan’s lap. I like the idea of them not being the most affectionate couple but also just casual contact is done without batting an eye. Logan is sitting on the sofa, he won’t even move or look up when Janus plops down on his lap and sits cross legged in his lap. But then one day, maybe after his own ticklishness was discovered, Logan just wondered if he was ticklish too. He then squeezed his sides. Janus threw himself back, trying to back away from the squeezes, but of course that then means he allowed himself to be trapped in Logan’s arms who then tickled the snot out of him. And he does not regret it. Seeing Logan’s peaceful smirk still lives in Janus’ mind rent free. 

6. Who can’t take tickle bites?

Neither of them. Both of them are equally as weak to the silliness and sensation of tickle bites. One day they even wanted to battle this out, prove it once and for all. They both got sat in Patton and Remus’ laps so they could be effectively pinned down and tickle bit to pieces. First one to safeword would be the loser and the weakest to the tickle bites. Patton starts nibbling on Janus’ neck and made sure to linger on the scales while Remus immediately dived for Logan’s sides. They both safeworded at the same time and they still argue to this day over how unfair that battle was (even though neither of them really lost). Remus has a moustache! Oh yeah well you don’t have scales! I’m bigger so there’s more surface area to tickle! I’m smaller and you have no idea how flustering it is to have everyone tower over you!

7. Who has to be tickle-forced out of bed in the morning?

To put a spin on this, Logan absolutely needs to be tickle chased IN to bed. Janus is absolutely not above fighting unfairly to get his genius idiot boyfriend some amount of sleep. He’ll duck under the desk and destroy Logan’s death spot in plenty of tickles and maybe a few raspberries here or there. Logan will even be begging that he promises he will go straight to bed but Janus will not listen. If he did then Logan would 

8. Who gives up in a tickle fight?

Oh this is absolutely not what this question is asking but oh this only just hit me. Both Logan and Janus are the sort to deliberately lose a tickle fight. Logan actually enjoys the tickles and sometimes it only just hits him that he can sit back and socially acceptably just take all the tickles he wants. Janus is the sort to treasure when Logan is having unabashed fun and genuine silliness and he will absolutely sit back and let things last longer so he can teach Logan that silliness is something good. But one day they both dramatically flop backwards thinking they can sit back and enjoy the tickles. They both awkwardly flop away from each other thinking the other will go to pin them. But obviously they just flop heavily against the floor in deafening silence. Janus finishes his giggle fit and Logan awkwardly brushed off the tingly sensations. The silence lasts for a solid minute. Then they burst into laughter and they both curl up to each other like the hopeless tickle addicts they are. From that point on, they are aware the other will deliberately lose a tickle fight but they still pretend like their tickle fights are genuine. 

9. Who is in danger of getting hurt when attacking the other?

Logan can sometimes just flop over during a tickle attack. Like his legs just don’t do the working thing anymore. So there’s been a few moments where he’ll collapse on to Janus who is completely unprepared to have his huge boyfriend fall on him. He doesn’t really get hurt but it always make him laugh when one second he’s evilly attacking his boyfriend to the next being buried underneath Logan. To make it better, Logan then has access to his little stick legs underneath him which are perfect for some revenge tickles. 

10. Who always provokes the other into tickling them and how?

1. Who has the cutest tickle laugh?

Obvious answer but Patton. Janus is the most devilish fiendish most evil person out there yet he just melts into a puddle when he hears Patton’s laughs. His proper belting out bellowing laughs where he even tears up. He’ll throw his head back, all bushy, and all he can do is just lightly kick his feet while squeaking out loud peals of laughter. He doesn’t even realise that he’s melting at Patton’s laugh. He’ll have the dopiest smile with heart eyes. Everyone who walks in when he’s like that knows just to leave him be (but Roman has pushed his luck once and did take a picture of the lovesick smile).

2. Who is ticklish in unusual places and where would that be?

Janus’ small of his back. Patton had one day been massaging him after a long hard day of work and pressed some kisses to the small of his back only to startle Janus awake with a squeal! There’s not even any scales to make it more sensitive, his back isn’t that bad of a tickle spot but for some reason this just really gets to him. It’s really really ticklish but at the same time it gets too much almost instantly so Patton doesn’t target it often. At most, he’ll wake him up by pressing many tingly kisses all round the small of his back. 

3. Who gets cheer-up tickles?

Patton gets them most often but they have a very special routine for when Janus needs some cheer up tickles. They’ll plan out an entire day. They wake up as late as they both please with pancakes for breakfast/lunch and then it’s a long peaceful bath together. All of this already has some tickles spread throughout but then they’ll have an entire tickle session. Blankets everywhere with some tickle tools thrown all over the room, they can to let out some energy by an all out tickle gladiator fight. Afterwards they’ll beg one of the others (usually Virgil as he can’t deal with Janus’ whining and Patton’s puppy eyes) to bring them water bottles and snacks. They do pedicures and massages and just loads of relaxing about the place. They end the night with slow gentle tickles to fall asleep to. Neither would ever say so, but they both look forward to those days so much. 

4. Who takes advantage of the other one getting their arms stuck while taking off their shirt?

Patton does! He just can’t help it! The first time, he genuinely didn’t mean to tickle, he just literally wanted to count his scales. There’s no many on his tummy and back so it’s just so tempting to count them. When his shirt is up is literally the perfect time to count! Now it’s a daily task for Janus to run around the room while getting changed so he doesn’t have to be obliterated with tickles. But this does have a drawback for Patton as Janus now makes a big deal about trying to count all of his tummy freckles. Which he, unlike Janus, has loads of. 

5. How did they discover each other’s ticklishness?

I feel like it would probably by some doofy way they found out. I don’t know where this came from, but I love the idea of Janus trying, for once in his life, to be romantic and he literally sweeps Patton off his feet. But of course Janus is not very strong and he so he ends up struggling a lot as he tries to carry Patton to their room. Meaning he spends the entire messing up with his grip under his knees which sends Patton squealing. Janus would’ve tickled him more, but he was literally about to drop him and so demanded his stayed still while still trying to get a grip under his knees. 

Discovering Janus’ ticklishness I feel like would be the whole deal. Patton is a big tickle monster and so he must know if his boyfriend has The Weakness! So one morning, Janus wakes up to feeling some wiggling fingers pressing into his side. Luckily, he’s got a lot of self control and was mostly more confused than tickly. But then it becomes a thing every morning and night, Patton will try and test his ticklishness when he thinks Janus isn’t paying attention. It all comes to a conclusion when Patton goes after his feet which, for a snake, is extremely ticklish and he ends up giggling before he’s even aware it’s Patton tickling him.

6. Who can’t take tickle bites?

Janus but that’s only because of his scales, or so he says. He’ll never admit that Patton makes a fantastic tickle monster. But there’s nothing worse than already being pinned down by a marshmallow personified while you’re giggling like a madman, but then he bends down and decides to give your incredibly sensitive scales some ‘nom noms’. There’s nothing worse. 

7. Who has to be tickle-forced out of bed in the morning?

Weirdly, both. It usually just depends on who wakes up first but a lot of the time they both set an alarm and get up the same time. But to ‘help wake each other up’ they’ll end up having a sleepy tickle fight before they even opened their eyes. Janus will feel a poke to his tummy and instinctually he starts poking along Patton’s sides. There’s been times where they’ve pinned the other down and are hovering over them as they tease and tickle the snot of them, all while never having opened their eyes. It’s getting to the point where they joke that they’ll tickle each other when they’re both asleep. 

8. Who gives up in a tickle fight?

Janus. Don’t get him wrong, he puts up a hell of a fight. But in the end, his lee side always seems to get the better of him and he ends up wanting to just lay back and enjoy some playful tickles from his cutie of a boyfriend. He doesn’t even know why, it’s not often he ends up in a lee mood but for some reason it always shows up during a vicious tickle war. Patton is also aware of this and will always just try and time out the lee mood. He’ll take as many tickles as needed, he knows that Janus will give up for his own dose of tickles at some point!

9. Who is in danger of getting hurt when attacking the other?

Janus is but really it’s all his own fault. There’s been so many times where he transforms into a snake and sneaks into Patton’s onesie or cardigan so he can give some good ol snakey tickles. Some snoot snuzzles, tongue flickering and some very light nibbles. But, of course, you feel a strange tickly sensation on your tummy without knowing it’s your snake boyfriend, you immediately slam your arms down. Some there’s been a good few times when Janus gets some bruises. There was one specific time where Janus instinctually transformed back into a human while hiding away in his onesie. Patton was immediately weighed down and they both fell to the floor tangled up in the same onesie. They both had bruises from that day.

10. Who always provokes the other into tickling them and how?

AW HELLS YEAH! I can answer this! I was literally looking at fanart for anxceit earlier today!

1. Who has the cutest tickle laugh?

Janus does. But for a very specific reason. Janus ends up tickle attacking Virgil almost every single day without fail. At the very least. And he always acts so uppity and sassy over tickling the snot out of Virgil. So any revenge is incredible. After all those sarcastic quips and mocking evil cackles, hearing genuine desperate loud laughter is always special. There’s something magical about seeing that evil confident façade melt away to a little blushing lee squealing in tickles. 

2. Who is ticklish in unusual places and where would that be?

This is, again, very specific but Virgil has a quite ticklish scalp. They both discovered this when Virgil was trying to seem tough and just as evil as Janus so he answered the door with his spider on his head. Janus then starts talking about self care and how to manage anxiety, y’know genuinely important stuff. But Virgil spent the entire time biting down on gasps and wobbly giggles. It was weeks later when Virgil finally explained why he was weird during that conversation and Janus never let him live it down. 

3. Who gets cheer-up tickles?

Virgil does! Whenever he looks down and mopey. Whenever Janus knows he’s got a lot on his plate. Whenever Thomas is feeling really anxious. Whenever he looks completely neutral. Whenever Virgil is running away squealing that he doesn’t need tickles. Oh Virgil stopped smiling for a single second, that sounds like someone needs some emergency tickles. 

4. Who takes advantage of the other one getting their arms stuck while taking off their shirt?

Virgil absolutely takes advantage. Virgil cannot get up in the morning and he absolutely drags Janus down with him. Janus will wake up and see Virgil curled up in the stupid little ball on his chest like the dumb boyfriend he is who totally isn’t cute enough to get away with that. He grumbles and gets really close to shoving Virgil off him but then his dumb boyfriend will do something stupid like curl up closer or cling on to his pjs. Something stupid and dumb so Janus will end up falling asleep again. Surprisingly that means Janus is the one to wake up last. And for some reason Janus is practically still asleep if he sleeps in late and wakes up later than expected. Janus will actually get stuck in his shirt. He will stand there being tickled and he will only swing gently side to side in response. Of course Virgil is going to make the most of it. Also he is completely aware of this and sees this as a great plan to weaken his boyfriend. 

5. How did they discover each other’s ticklishness?

Oh my god, I feel like all of these are suuuuuper specific but hey! I’m on a roll! Janus discovered Virgil was ticklish through an argument they had actually. They were having a lover’s tiff, a really silly argument but they were both still somehow getting heated about it. Virgil, too frustrated to think straight, goes to crawl under their bed to stop having this conversation. But he is a fully grown man of course. He instantly gets stuck under the bed. Janus is also frustrated too but seeing Virgil’s butt poking out from the bed as his bare feet kick around the carpet as if that would help him is enough to erase all anger from the world. He jokingly tickles his feet while asking if Virgil would like some help. Virgil instantly yelps and starts thrashing faster but he is thoroughly stuck. Janus ends up having a delightful conversation about the argument to a Virgil who is totally able to respond and isn’t crying with tickly laughter. 

Janus’ ticklishness was discovered soon after the daily Virgil tickle attacks started. He woke up one morning to Virgil sitting on his hips with feather dusters, hair brushes, metal claws and baby lotion. He immediately tried to sit up only to notice his hands had been tied to the bed posts. “There is no way I’m just going to sit back and take all your stupid attacks!”

“... attacks? You can’t even say what kind of attacks? Can’t you say the word?”

“...sHUT UP!”

“Sure, this will doing the talking for me,” Janus taunts as he summons his other sets of arms and starts tickling the poop out of Virgil. It takes awhile but Janus’ ticklishness is eventually discovered once Virgil finally gets a hold of himself.

6. Who can’t take tickle bites?

Janus. It’s the one form of tickling that he just can’t handle when done right. To make it worse though, they eventually noticed that because it requires Virgil to literally bury his face into Janus then his eye shadow gets smudged wherever he gives some tickly bites. So they can always track exactly where Virgil tickled him. Afterwards, he’ll poke the trail of eye shadow and ask which tickle bite tickled more. Janus absolutely hates this game as much as he loves it.

7. Who has to be tickle-forced out of bed in the morning?

Virgil, of course. He’s a SLEEPY boy! He’s gotta get all his snoozes. But Janus is just an absolute dick of a boyfriend and will torture him to get up in the morning. In those mornings when Virgil’s tries to be all cute curled up, Janus is not above drilling into his belly or even fluttering around his navel. His best technique to getting Virgil awake is using all his arms to pin him in that curled up ball on his chest while tickling him to pieces. Then after the morning wake up call, Janus will kiss his forehead and snuggle up to him tighter. Waking him up with tickles doesn’t always mean leaving the warm snuggly bed. 

8. Who gives up in a tickle fight?

Janus. He is so easily flustered that it’s ridiculous. After all the tickle attacks and self proclaimed tickle titles, he just can’t handle what he dishes out. The world’s most ticklish tickle monster. After a few teases and especially some gentle fluttering tickles around his scaley tummy and he’s fallen to the ground hissing some pathetic begs. And Virgil has never felt more power than when he deliberately starts a tickle fight, because he knows that no matter what he will win. Plus also maybe he also kinda enjoys seeing his boyfriend all giggly and blushing but whatever...

9. Who is in danger of getting hurt when attacking the other?

Neither I feel like. Virgil just kinda wiggles or pathetically curls into a protective ball that never ever protects him. Janus knows that if he gets too flaily then Virgil has too much self preservation and will let himself be pushed to the side. So neither, tickling is always just some good plain fun! Even when tickled attacked during his daily attacks, Virgil will at most lightly pat against Janus’ back.

Grinning next to Janus, Remus swam fast alongside him.

Remus was a squid merman and Janus was an eel merman. They were both considered spooky looking, but had managed to make a few light side friends.

"Gee, playing with Lo-Lo and his friends was fun! We should invite them over again!" Remus said.

Janus rolled his eyes, playing with his long Caribbean hairstyle. His hair was white, and certainly a sight to behold if you weren't scared of his yellow eyes and sharp teeth.

"It's not like we invited them over yesterday," he replied. "And the day before. Can't today be just about us?"

Remus huffed. "Fine, grumpy gills!"

Janus kept scavenging for food. He wasn't paying much attention, which is why he squeaked when Remus wrapped his squid tentacles around him. Remus poked and prodded at his underarms.

"HEY!! AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAAA!! NO FAIR!"

"Perfectly fair!" Remus said. "I don't get to have friends over to tickle, so I have to settle for you!"

"SETTLE?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!"

Remus chuckled and bonked him on the head. Then he swam away.

"Catch me if you can!"

Janus growled and didn't pursue him. He was tired and hungry, so instead he caught smaller fish in his net and in his jaws. Remus pouted. His friend wasn't playing along! He'd have to bring out the big guns!

He wrapped himself around Janus and got all of his tickle spots at once! A tentacle fluttered under his chin while two others skittered in his armpits. Another swirled across his tummy and poked in his navel, while two others fluttered across his hips! The remaining four fluttered over different spots on his eel tail! Janus shrieked and flailed all around! He couldn't escape and after two whole minutes, conceded defeat.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAAA! FINE!! HAHAHAHAHAAHA! HAVE THEM OVER!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAA! JUST STAHAHAP!"

Happiness showed in Remus' sharp teeth and sparkling eyes. He let Janus go, who immediately fell to the sea floor.

Remus cheered and swore with joy!

Janus grumbled. Now he was even more exhausted. While Remus' friends were over, he'd probably take a long nap!

Just then, Logan swam by. Remus glomped him. 

“Are you really that excited to see me?” Logan said. Remus nodded. 

“Jay-nus said I could have you guys over again today! Well, wanna come?!?!”

Logan smiled at his enthusiasm. “I would love to. I’ll go ask the others. By the way, what is Janus doing on the floor?”

Waving dismissively, Remus replied. “Ehh, he’s grumpy cause I tickled him until he laughed like a girl!”

Logan’s lip twitched upwards. “Aw.”

From the ground, Janus blushed. “Don’t you start!”
