Ready to begin a new adventure.
I moved the boys into a new project and lined them up for a quick test to make sure everyone imported with all their bits working.
The crappy default lighting in the test scene gave them a dramatic silhouette effect…other than High Five Bot (toon shaded, no lighting needed) who looks chipper and non-threatening as ever.
*insert xylophone sound effect
Back to learning Unity
After months and months of feeling like a complete noob and running away from unity and game designing (even though its my dream and current course I'm studying) Ive decided to finally give it another go before university starts and im tossed into it again. so i have been watching a few tutorials on using Unity primarily a youtuber called Brackeys and have slowly been developing a little game of mine. a simple hack and slash set in medieval times, the story has not been set yet as im still adjusting the primary mechanic, design and feel. Being a game designer is real passion of mine, yet sometimes i feel as if im too lazy and believe that ill become one just like that. it takes hard work, practice and repetition to become confident with using a program like Unity. I wish i couldve had this mentality at the beginning of my studies and now in my final year of uni its almost as if being that game designer i would of hoped for is going require a lot more work. anyways enough of my mindless qq'ing the next couple of posts will outline my day to day activity working on this game, hopefully it turns out great by the end of it *im planning to complete this game before uni starts again* fingers crossed
