I pray I don’t forget myself again
I am the product of generations
Ancestors and struggle
I am the lessons of my mother
The victories of my father
The kindness of my grandfather
The bite in my grandmothers voice
I come from royalty and nothing could ever be put together to create me
I owe no explanation
I breathe and I am who I’ve always been
"Learning to Be" raporu sadece okul yaşamıyla da sınırlı değildir. Bu rapora göre eğitim yaşam boyu devam eden bir süreçtir. Bu yüzden başta eğitimciler olmak üzere herkes tarafından okunması ve anlaşılması oldukça değerlidir. 🌱😊

Tina Knowles Lawson, mother of Beyoncé, will feature an interview with longtime friend and IVP author Juanita Rasmus on Thursday, September 17, on her Instagram Live Talks with Mama Tina. This interview, with special guest Michelle Williams, will kick off the launch week for Juanita’s highly anticipated book- Learning to Be: Finding Your Center After the Bottom Falls Out. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Tina Knowles Lawson and her family were some of the first members of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Houston, which Juanita and husband, @rudyrasmus , started in 1992. St. John’s is also where Beyoncé grew up singing in the choir. Thousands have joined the St. John’s family over the past twenty-eight years, making it one of the most culturally diverse congregations in the country. Tina penned the foreword for Learning to Be and wrote, “I’ve experienced this light in my faith walk and with powerful, resilient people like Juanita Campbell Rasmus, a woman I met in 1986 when I opened my first salon, and she became a faithful client. She set an example for the power of prayer and worship, and I later became one of the first members of St. John’s Church. Over the years, I’ve witnessed Juanita navigate the highs and lows of marriage, motherhood, ministry, and womanhood. I’ve seen her journey from the self-professed ‘good girl’ to a leader who wholeheartedly seeks God with a level of authenticity, transparency, and grace that is unmatched....” #authorsofinstagram #speakersofinstagram #learningtobe https://www.instagram.com/p/CFIlgQlMs6V/?igshid=17psi8j1dv72e

She’s featured in Speakers magazine and podcast on Speakers.FM 🎤🎤🎤 —— What is the primary takeaway you hope readers will learn from reading your book?—— Juanita said: I wrote Learning to Be with the hopes that readers would leave the book, and walk into a life recognizing that each of us has an untold measure of resiliency. We can live expansive generative lives following: a mental health diagnosis, divorce, death, grief, disruption, discontentment and despair, but we will need to live differently. Any of these experiences can become the means for self-reflection, evaluation, and ultimately real transformative personal growth. 🙏🏾 A diagnosis was my invitation to take a new look at the way that I had been living my life. 🙏🏾 My recovery journey gave me space to create a meaningful life that has proven to be most reflective of my authentic self. Challenging times can become the invitation to do the deep work of discarding belief systems that no longer serve us. In Learning to Be I mention taking off the training wheels as an analogy for removing what is no longer life giving. This kind of mind body spirit attentiveness can provide a pathway for healing our deepest hurts and making way for the liberation of the real self. I wrote Learning to Be so others might experience the freedom I’ve come to know in writing a new narrative for my life and for the ways I have come to experience my most expansive self, the self that is ever learning to be. #learningtobe #authorsofinstagram #tedtalk #speakersofinstagram #speakersmagazine foreword by @mstinalawson ❤️ #September is #suicideprevention month (at National Speakers Association) https://www.instagram.com/p/CEszjM4MqZt/?igshid=1h9bryxs4ogvp

Pushkar is a laid back place with a lot of shanti. 'Just being' is something I am still teaching myself. Or maybe I am simply unlearning the 'being more productive' propaganda. Pushkar is one the perfect places to get started on this path. I hope to return back home and continue to not chase the productivity madness. #learningtobe #simpleliving (at Savitri Mata Mandir Temple)
