It's strange to think that back in 2001, neither of us had ever used a computer before. We didn't know how to use email yet, much less create digital artwork. Prior to that time, all our professional experience was what one might call "old school". We drew with pencils and we painted with brushes—you know, those wooden sticks with hairs on the ends? In 2001, Jody was hired to create an official logo for the 60th Anniversary of the release of "Dumbo". The logo would be used in a variety of ways, including on commemorative merchandise. Jody penciled the design on paper, painted all the elements in acrylic paints, and handed them over to a graphic designer to assemble and add type on a computer. It turned out just fine, of course, but the experience prompted both of us to enroll in Photoshop and Illustrator courses. Since then, we've become quite adept at creating art and designs on computer. Incredibly, we even know how to email now. 😉 #oldschool #handmade #learningonthejob #Dumbo #jodydaily https://www.instagram.com/p/BvOHEDmll9D/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=hhuz4zxo6950
