I've been learning a lot about 'failure' lately and putting oneself outside of their comfort zone in order to achieve new heights. Personally speaking, I've never felt more at odds with myself as I transition from being a survivor of my trauma and experiences to a thriver who is contributing to others in the ways I know I can. It's honestly scary. I've learned thriving is hard. Thriving requires constantly returning to the plate after striking out many times. It means overcoming negative self-talk whenever failures are encountered and pushing past self-limiting beliefs to see beyond the upsets encountered in life. It means dropping one's bullshit and misconceptions about how the world actually works, which is to say it is nowhere close to whatever we try to imagine as perfect. Perfect is a concept that exists in ThoughtLand, but what is perfect in the mind isn't always great in execution. This is why we must test our ideas and see how they actually play out instead of criticizing others for making earnest attempts and 'failing' in their efforts to express themselves. If you really think you know everything about something then prove it. Otherwise it's all talk and you're just mentally jerking yourself off to your own ideas instead of pushing yourself past whatever perceived limitations you think you have. We are all powerful, creative creatures. Failure to recognize that isn't a matter of choice, but a matter of circumstance. If you don't believe me, then try to prove me wrong. I look forward to hearing your results. #makeamess #thatisthepoint #failureislearning #learningisliving https://www.instagram.com/p/CD4NVYIhj6l/?igshid=u6zgmtkka7du
