Love isn't about making someone your whole world. It's about fitting someone perfectly into your existing one.
A puzzle isn't made up of one piece, and neither should your relationships with others.
Before I forget... It's not nice to make someone relive their guilt when they are or have been doing their best to make it right. I 'm tired of reliving it everyday as it is!
"You can't be in this business if you can't handle rejection--"
You know what, no. Fuck that. I Can't handle rejection, but I'm still going to be in this business, be it writing or art or even fucking STEM. You can be a sensitive person and still be successful in fields with a lot of rejection. Being sensitive doesn't make you weak. It means it hurts a lot, but cry it out, eat your ice cream, let yourself mourn the rejection, and keep trying. You aren't less because you feel. Can we please reject this notion that you have to be hard-hearted in order to go places. You don't.
A willingness for embarrassment and the ability to survive humiliation are the prerequisites for all learning and growth.

Yes, we can transform a struggle into a blessing by finding the growth it offers ...Â
May 2017 be a year of answered prayers ...Â
when you ask me how I'm doing you will always get a different answer. depending on how I am truly feeling in that moment, who is asking, and how much I trust you.
there are two human beings who can ask me and will receive a truthful answer at least 80% of the time. (only when I think they are asking seriously and not just for small talk purposes)
now, if you belong in the broader group of people labeled "strangers" (this includes everyone except the aforementioned 2 friends) whether you gave birth to me or are my literal therapist you have a 3% at getting a truthful answer. even then you have a 98% chance of it being mentioned in an off handed comment laced in sarcasm.
sometimes I'll be truthful with strangers simply because it throws them off their usual politeness routine and because I like to think it might make them feel better about their shitty day.
my emotions are not something I trust anyone with.
not anymore.
I thought that because I finally managed to trust myself with my feelings that I could trust my friends..I was so incredibly wrong. I can trust two people. that's it. never again will I give away my feelings so freely.
