My Leafwing head cannons
their scales are like tree bark lots of variations and changes as they grow, think dragonettes have smooth reddish skin/bark and it toughens and gets rougher as they age, sundew has like small scarring and the queen is gnarled AF. horns, claws and wing digits are like structured like tree branches colors range from almost black to pale lichen green with some gold in there, evolved to blend into the trees so vibrant colors are rare. Fuck I gotta do proper art for this but I had to post it.
