Dorian lets out a laugh- it's not meant to hurt, but it does as he holds his own chest, grieving. he seems to understand exactly what Simon is going through as he holds himself together with safety pins and needles, unable to cope on his own. "neither do i," he says, voice cracking as he tries to gather himself up. it was so fucking hard to do that- so fucking hard. he didn't know what to do other than look at Simon like he's lost. he doesn't know how to help him, either. "what am i supposed to do with that ?? i don't know how to help you, let alone myself. everything hurts." he's broken. he's always been broken.

the er was short on nurses tonight crockett didn't mind helping out when it came to patient care. they still had no information on their john doe, so he was quick to enter the room when he received word that the patient was now awake.

he had grabbed some gloves to start cleaning him up more thoroughly now that he was awake and stable as far as tests had come back so far.

midstep when beldane rose from the bed, crockett raised his hands into the air with a small step back, hoping to communicate to him with open body language that he was not in danger here. his small disarming smile would hopefully do some of the legwork in that department too.

mikey was trying to stay positive for not only isabella's sake, but carmen's kids too. they'd decided to take a road trip, and one of the nights the kids wanted to camp out. it was fine with mikey, they had tents with them for if something came up and they had to use them, so they had parked up the rv and set out to find a suitable camping spot. he couldn't deny it, and apparently neither could carmen— he had a bad feeling sitting in the pit of his stomach, like they shouldn't be out here. all he wanted was to go back to the vehicle and move them along, maybe find a motel for the night instead of staying in the rv which is what he thought the kids were bored of.

"if you feel it too, maybe we should head back." mikey murmured, deciding to reach down and pick isabella up and hold her close. "we could go back to the rv, drive on and find a motel. this. . . it doesn't feel right."
