In putting in all of the time and effort to move all my character etc info off tumblr, I have also decided that it's simply time for a fresh, new blog!

So, this blog will become an archive and I will pick up on the same URL in a fresh new spot. As part of the move, I'm dropping all of my drafts (but not the connections), so I have posted everything that was left in my queue so there's no wondering and waiting.      But it's hard when everything about Callisto tempts him. She adds to that with her own riling teases and seductive words.

     Shuddery breaths punch out of his lungs when soft fingers trail his bulge. Even through cloth, it's a strike of lightning, fueling lust to something barely contained. He yearns. “P-please...” Duke gasps, raising his hips towards her touch. How long does she plan to play with him? At this rate his patience will run out soon.

     The woman's words tremble when she answers, lacking confidence. She's lying about something, he can tell, though he's unsure which is the lie. Whatever. That isn't his business. Despite his concerned civilian deed, Moana can just as easily ignore her troubles to fend for herself.

     It seems that's what she wants, given her essential dismissal. He knows how to take a hint.

     “If you say so,” Moana acknowledges. “Weather's gonna be like this for a few hours 'til the storm passes. Might wanna let your husband know it'll be a while, just in case.” If she can get a signal, that is. The combination of a rainstorm and rural areas don't do well with cell reception.

Macie's caught between a rock and a hard place, and the fact that he takes her refusal at face value and turns around is enough for her to make the split decision to scramble after him.

"Wait, hang on-"

The door to her little car is flung open, rain soaking her as soon as she steps out (great, looking even more pitiful).

"Um. I don't mean to jerk you around."

Sopping hair is pushed out of her face. Macie either has to trust this man, or sit out here for god knows how long and hope no one even worse comes along in however long this rain decides to last.

"Some help would be great. I just - big strangers, in the dark, in the rain, you know?"

     Rico shrugged. “Maybe you're a voyeur. Ever consider that?” Said with a somber tone, the inappropriate joke was meant to add levity. He couldn't pretend to care, not even for her sake, and he didn't want to waste energy or consideration on a dead man he didn't know. If only Poppy's heart wasn't so big.

There's more pressing things to think about anyway. Like the way Rico so easily says it's easy to find you whenever I want, as if she;s some beacon to him that he can find at any time. She kind of likes that, and also doesn't want to think too hard about it lest a pinkening in her cheeks gives her away.

It's not very hard for him to turn her away from the grave - she's not so desperate to stay as to argue, and it's only when Rico takes her hand that she realises she's forgotten her gloves too.

"I think so. Most of the time," they decide, nodding. The most truthful they've ever been about how they feel about their job, really. Truthful to him, but also truthful to themselves.

"I think that's fair. You're right, every job has problems. It's good that you like it enough, though, or that you can get through the things that are not so perfect for the rest of it, you know?"

He hums, curling his arm around her a little more carefully. Isn't it funny how two strangers meet under those circumstances and form something like an instant connection?

“Consider   my   pretty   little   head   unworried   then,”   he   teases,   a   sly   grin   curled   at   the   ends   of   his   lips.   She   seems   never   to   miss   a   beat;   it's   something   he's   quickly   taken   note   of.   “Very   seldom   is   it   ever   bruised.   I've   had   to   learn   to   take   things   to   the   chin   a   time   or   two,”   he   continues,   light   laughter   lacing   his   words.   “After   all,   nobody's   perfect   –   as   gruesome   a   reality   that   is   for   me   to   swallow."

Perfection.   The   word   alone   sets   his   teeth   on   edge.   “Talent   is   subjective,”   he   shrugs.   “But,   yeah,   I   know   a   thing   or   two   about   a   thing   or   two,   so   to   speak,”   he   hums   in   amusement. 

Laughter   booms   from   his   towering   frame;   his   brows   furrowed   as   he   peers   over   towards   the   femme.   “Pop   girly?   Yeah,   I'm   this   generation's   Madonna,”   he   jokes.   Hazel   eyes   roll   in   the   slightest,   though   his   playful   demeanor   remains.   “It's   more   pop-punk   than   anything,   I   guess.   I   don't   know.   I   play   what   I   like   –   what   sounds   good   to   me,”   he   explains,   a   shrug   at   his   shoulders. 

"Well if you're this generation's Madonna." Billie laughs. "You'll have to tell me the name of your band at some point. Write it down for me, maybe, so I don't forget it before I have the chance to go home and look you up."
