Hi!! Happy Holidays!! What would be your skeleton boys reactions to being called cute?
Killer hits you right back with a "not as cute as you~" which quickly dissolves into back and forth complements in an attempt to outdo each other.
Horror is pretty surprised the first time. Obviously your taste is a little skewed considering you thought Killer was an ideal datemate... but he's never met anyone that would think he's 'cute' in this state. It does make him all the more fond of you.
Dust curls against you, murmuring "Me too. I mean... you're cute, too." If there is any surface suitable for sleeping, he's going to take you there for a cuddle session and nap.
Cross' face flushes. He'll try to wave it offâhe's not, you don't need to say that. But confirmation and a few more words of affirmation and he's practically melted.
Nightmare questions if that is really the right word you would use to describe him. All the while, though, his tentacles have curled into spiralsâa telltale sign he's pleased.
Error scoffs. Duh. He's the cutest skeleton in the multiverse.

Do the guys get like mad at each other for unintentionally hurting Reader? Like with Killer's stage 4 and Dust's LV rushes, would they still be mad at each other even if it's highkey hypocritical? I can't imagine it NOT causing at least SOME amount of conflict at some point idk im curious, sue me
Keep up the good work ^^
They are all HUGE hypocrites and would absolutely do this.
Killer gets more leeway when he hurts you because he really isnât capable of any emotion or rational thought in stage 4. Most of the boys are more annoyed at you for continually approaching stage 4 Killer to calm him.
Donât misunderstandâNightmare adores that you can stop Killerâs suffering⌠he simply wishes you would wait until he was properly restrained before attempting to do so.
Dust, though? He would get in quite a few fights with Killer over it. If he knows heâs going to hit stage 4, then why canât he get the fuck away from you?
Dust doesnât mean it though. He knows Killer canât always tell heâs slipping⌠and itâs not like he ever shows aggression towards you normally. He just needs a little time to cool down before making up with Killer. The two of them are used to itâthey fight often, despite their love for each other.
Dust gets no leeway. Not from the others, and not from your emotional response to it. Unlike with Killer, you have a horrible reaction anytime he has a LV rush near you. It brings back memories of hands around your neck and glass cutting into your back⌠you just canât handle it. Youâll leave anytime he gets one, and he understands whyâŚ
But if he was to successfully hurt you during one? All hell would break loose.
You canât look at him for over a week, and it takes effort to build your trust back to be alone around him.
The others keep trying to figure out whether he MEANT to hurt you or not. Nightmare deliberately separates him from you on missions or appears whenever he nearly encounters you alone in the hallway.
Horror tries to have a few gentle conversations about itâwhat triggered the rush? What was he thinking while it happened? But mostly he just looks disappointed in Dust. Horror knows itâs not entirely his fault⌠he just hoped this wouldnât happen again.
Killer and Cross are furious. Killer openly fights with him over it at every opportunity, while Cross stands guard over you when you absolutely must be togetherâsword in hand, not even hiding who he thinks heâll have to use it on. He even throws a few extra nasty attacks into their training routine.
Itâs not that the others donât love Dust, or know that he loves you. They do⌠it just brings bad memoriesâand doubtârushing back.
Horror doesn't have much magic, so LV rushes aren't much of a concern. His LV also is leagues lower than Killer or Dust.
What is a concern, however, is his amnesia. There are times when he forgets himself. When he stares at you like you're a stranger. Like you're something to catch.
It always passes within moments, and it disturbs Horror most of all. He quietly excuses himself and disappears for hours whenever it happens. You might want to talk to him about it, but Dust usually volunteers to go help ground him instead.
The only instance where Horror would ever physically hurt you is if you were to accidentally wander into one of the traps he sets in the woods during his episodes. He tries his best to find them all once they pass... but the woods outside the castle are vast, and his traps often so well made he can scarecely see them. There's usually someone with you when you do get caught in one, so they don't cause too much damage.
The others are often pretty understanding... but occasionally, on bad days, they might lash out as he's apologizing that he really should clean the forest up. The worst is when they're just... disappointed in him.
Again, they don't really mean it. Horror's amnesia has improved over time, but it's not something that he can help nor that will ever fully go away. But in the heat of the moment, as your ankles are bleeding and you're teary eyed... sometimes the others can't help but feel tired that this keeps happening.
The odds of Cross hurting you accidentally are quite slim. He doesn't get LV rushes, he doesn't forget... whatever it is truly would be an unusual mistake. Perhaps you swerved suddenly during training and grazed his sword, or he mistook you for something else during a mission and swung at you. More likely it would be something more mundaneâa nightmare that has him shoving you off the bed, for example.
Dust would get a bit miffed about it. If even Cross is hurting you, then what does that say about your relationship with the rest of them?
Killer would be the only one to have any sort of big reaction to it. If it was a training accident, he'd likely snap at Cross on a good day. On a particularly bad day, he'd get into a physical fight with him over it to "teach him to be more careful". He would regret it later, when he finds Cross in your room gently changing out your bandages with the guiltiest look on his face....
If Nightmare has managed to hurt you on accident, something is seriously wrong. He has phenominal control over his magic and physical formâwhat he wishes to protect is held gently in his corruption, and only that which he hopes to purge faces its wrath. To hurt you on accident, he is likely ill or injured... barely aware of what he is lashing out at.
The others would be angry, but they'd also be far too worried about Nightmare to take it out on him beyond brief repremands and demands to stop.
Error would face the rage of the entire group if he so much as thought about violence against you. His frequent claims that one day he will destroy the multiverse, then you, then himself already piss most of the group off (save for Nightmare, who has yet to tell his old friend that his emotions say otherwise).
Were he to hurt you, it's unlikely he'd be allowed anywhere alone with you for a longgggg time. Killer and Dust would also undoubtly make him regret it, no matter how much of an accident he claims it to be.
What if Reader contracts a terminal disease? Curious...
I adore your writing style!
There is a 99% chance that all the boys would be in the room when any doctor delivered that news, because none of them like the thought of leaving you alone with strangersâparticularily once the wider multiverse knows you're Nightmare's spouse.
Nightmare would have to drain the negative emotions away from his boys to prevent a complete four way meltdown. The doctor hardly gets to explain what's wrong before he has you bundled up in his tentacles in the antivoid, shoving you into Error's arms.
All disease of living organisms is rooted in geneticsâyour own or an invading virusesâand such things are easily perused in your code.
They ask before Error fixes the code responsible. Error knows how you feel about him changing it, but surely this is an exception?
If you agree, it's a day of careful tweaking inside of Nightmare's chambers, while everyone fusses over you, showering you in flowers, your favourite foods, and sweet desserts.
And if you won't agree?
Well, Nightmare will tell you that's alright. That he can find alternate medicine. Anything for his darling wife.
And if one evening Nightmare gives you some "special" tea to help you sleep, and you happen to drink such a thing, only to wake up long into the next afternoon with the pain sapped from your body...
Well, that was the medicine you asked him to find, wouldn't you agree?
I know you did a "what would happen if someone other than Killer found the Reader", but what happens after chapter 10? Would there be differences? Would the Reader actually be visited by the person, instead of them hiding in their room? (Love you, Killer, but that's NOT how you cope with that)
A follow-up on this ask :D
Dust spends the first few days of your imprisonment watching you. He might say a few words... let you know Horror's coming for dinner or murmur that you haven't brushed your hair, but otherwise he's so silent you could forget he was there.
Er... if he wasn't entirely creepy.
He's conflicted. You're Dream's healerâa human directly threatening his family. But Horror seems to think they abused your soultype.
Mostly, though? He can't bring himself to act any of his violent impulses out. You already experienced plenty when they took you. Plus... well... Every time he considers it, the faint memory of your magic flowing through him comes back, and he shortcuts away.
He doesn't trust you with Cross, but unlike in LCITN, he wouldn't object when Horror suggested bringing you to him, and would shortcut you there himself.
Dust starts actually interacting with you after he receives a nasty injury from Blue about a week following your capture and you fix it up for him. He'd been hiding it under his hoodie for several hours before you noticed it during his daily "stare-at-the-human" time. He never asks you to fix it... you just start doing it, and your magic is warm and strange and horribly sad. He can't help but try to experience it again. Every minor injury, and he's down there, letting you fix him up and exchanging quiet conversation about magic. Your facination with it is perplexing, yet strangely endearing.
Still, though, he's not opposed to Nightmare holding you for random, even if it starts to feel uncomfortable the more Horror shares about your naivity. Of course you didn't know who they were, or you never would have bothered helping him. When Nightmare resorts to some drastic measures, Dust ends up confessing how you saved his life, which contributes to his ultimate decision to allow you to roam the castle free as their healer.
While Killer still beats him at getting into a relationship with you, Dust takes far, FAR less time deliberating it. Plus, Horror's pretty quickly in agreement that they should show you some real love and affection.
Horror leaves you alone in the dungeons for a week after youâre captured. Killer can bring you food. Cross can linger at the bars and try to understand why you lied to them. He wants no damn part in it.
Except, it starts to eat at him.
That first time you healed him, you pushed yourself so hard you passed out. Why do that, if youâd known who he was then?
And every other time⌠that soft smile you gave, that drop of loneliness mixed into your loving magic.
Then there was the other things. The air mattress you called a bed. The dangerous neighbourhood.
The lack of food in your fridge.
Why hadnât Dream been taking better care of ya? Why hadnât they brought you to safety when they knew what Mare would do to you?
He finally brings himself to deliver your food himself and actually hear you out.
You knew him. Knew he was connected to Mare. But youâd enjoyed his companyâenjoyed when Cross came too.
Youâd practically been all alone since the Stars found you.
He canât really help himself after that. He brings you fancier meals, makes you a soft nest of blankets to comfort you⌠and eventually convinces Nightmare that itâs far more useful to use you as a healer than it is to keep you in a dungeon.
Now you can know what itâs like to be taken care of. To have a real familyâŚ. And perhaps some lovers to make that soul of yours shine.
Dust, meanwhile, is fucking pissed in this reality. It's arguably worse than the fic itself. He can tell, from the way Horror's acting, exactly what he's considering. That somehow, because you saved his life and heal them all up now, that you're going to start being part of the family.
That you're going to be their LOVER.
Every attempt by Horror at connecting you fails worse than the last. And he tries. Cooking together, going out stargazing, going fishing... even a secret trip to the Omega Timeline. Nothing works.
It takes exactly the same extreme circumstances as will occur in LCITN to get Dudt to even warm up to you, and even then it is a while before he allows you close enough to realize that Horror might have been on to something.
Horrorâs quite delighted when he finally gets to have both of you in his arms.
Cross is the only one of the gang who, once in love with you, has a far greater loyalty to you than the rest of the family. So when Nightmare drops them off in a universe that looks IDENTICAL to the one you're in, and Cross receives a sobbing call from you, terrified that you're going to die? He doesn't hesitate. Doesn't even bother trying to ask Killer for help. He finds you in the alleyways, wraps you up in his arms, and shortcuts.
You land in a random pacifist AU. Cross refuses to put you down until he finds a hotel where he can tend to your wounds.
Meanwhile, neither Nightmare nor Dream can find you. Nightmare doesn't know you enough to sense your negativity, and you're so upset Dream can barely pinpoint you. He knows, vaguely, that you're in another AU. That someone has taken you away. But he can't follow you without Nightmare coming too.
What Nightmare does know, however, is that Cross is missing. Missing and harbouring a heavy layer of guilt.
And when the gang track him down, only to find him curled around Dream's healer? To realize he has betrayed them?
Well, they aren't very happy.
Nightmare snatches you up, tossing you in the dungeons, and drags Cross to his office for an explanation. His perfect soldier lied to him. Failed to disclose a hidden relationship. Failed to realize who you were. And worse, he involved Killer in the whole affair.
After hours of apologies and begging, Nightmare allows you to share Cross' room, but refuses to drop his plan to use you as a bartering tool.
Killer knew about you. He was even starting to contemplate making his own move on you. But you were going to take Cross away from their family. Sharing loyalty is one thingâKiller could love you and the others. Would have, before all this. But Cross was going to leave them. Leave Killer forever for you.
Killer is extremely jealous at basically everything you do, and spends over a month being openly hostile towards you until Cross finally snaps at him. He panicked. He didn't have a choice but to run away with you. He was never going to leave Killer forever.
And just like that Killer is back to teasing and cuddling up to you. The two of you should have just said that you were going to include him in your little getaway eventually.
Horror, Dust, and Nightmare also take considerably longer to warm up to you, on account of you nearly stealing Cross away.
Nightmare:
In the world where Nightmare found you, you'd arrive in the castle of your own volition after many weeks of Nightmare carefully convincing you of how wonderful your life would be with a real family, in a comfortable, safe home, with all the affection Nightmare could give to you. He's successfully convinced you that he isn't quite as terrible as Dream made him out to be.
Is there an unhealthy dose of Nightmare convincing you Dream is worse than he actually is? Absolutely. But ultimately all he wants is for his healer to come home with him. Where you belong.
You're given the massive Queen's Quarters to live in. Nightmare absolutely pampers you. You're given beautiful dresses and jewels, luxurious picnics in the gardens, and showered in his affections.
The castle comes alive with your arrival, too. Nightmare allows vendors to come in and set up little market days. In the evenings the theatre is alive with plays, operas, and symphonies.
He does not object when Killer and Cross begin stealing kisses from you in the hallways. Killer might be a bit much⌠but they would make good lovers for you.
It takes many months of PAINFULLY obvious pining from Nightmare (and Killer continually hinting it to him) before Nightmare realizes that it does bother him. Not because they are your lovers. But because he, despite every action of his subconsciously screeching that it was so, deeply adores you.
Loves you.
He brings you outside of the castle to confess. Itâs the first time youâre allowed since he brought you home, too afraid Dream may try to take what is rightfully his.
The feeling of you kissing him is beyond anything he could have imagined from books.
Error doesnât really get up in Nightmareâs business. Is he mildly surprised to find you in his castle, companions with two of his men? Maybe. But heâs not going to let you know that.
By your headcanons for nm and his gang, which of the seven human soul traits do you think each would have? It's a fun thing for me to think about, so i'm curious :o
Killer: Perseverence
His universe... the player... the creators... they all put him through hell. But still he kept pushing forward, until he took back what was his.
And if that perseverence now manifests as teasing the cute little human he found in some random AU until she's his datemate... well isn't that a sweet twist of fate?
Horror: Kindness
He was selfish, when he declared that Snowdin should eat any humans that fall. He did it on a whimâinjured, his severed magic making memories hazy and anger unbearable.
But when the opportunity presented itself, years later, to free his people from that hell? He took it.
And now that he has a new family, he would do anything to look out for them.
Dust: Justice
His sense of it may be twisted, aligning far more with Nightmare's "neccessary/normal rights and wrongs of the multiverse"... and he may have a vendetta against the whole human race for the actions of a few... but it is, to him, a kind of justice.
Cross: Integrity
He is perhaps the only member of the group that has an honest sense of honour and morality that extends to all people. Horror may be a close second, but his is more of a list of personal rules than a true sense of right/wrong.
Nightmare: Patience
Nightmare is a man of many goals. He does not mind if they take long to plan and execute. Eventually, all will turn in his favour, and he will seize that which he seeks.
Error: Determination
Nothing can sway his resolve to destroy the "anomalies" of the multiverse. What could be more determined, then to follow a goal you know will bear no fruit? Which, when even the original universe is touched by the creators and their twisted ideals, means nothing?

So! Im a cane-wielder and it made me very curious on Bad Sanses and what theyâd do differently with a physically disabled Reader? (Either Cane user and/or Wheelchair bound! Paralysis or leg pain stuff like that!)
As thanks for blessing my eyes and cursing my spinterest indulgence, some bonus Reader-Insert w/ The Boysâ˘ď¸ doodles
Ahhh I love your doodles!! The way Killer is just stabbing away... he's not even trying. This WOULD be how Dream and Ink looked if Reader had actually tried introducing them. Your persona is also super snazzy, I adore the glasses!!
If Reader was a cane user:
The scenario in the second doodle would happen way more than it should if you tried training with Killer or Dust. They get FAR too into the battle and completely forget to use their brains. That would earn you way more time with Cross and Nightmare, though, as they wouldn't haphazardly launch blasters around the only non-Sans-based member of the team.
Killer doesn't do too much differently, though he does accidentally drop your cane into the void the first few shortcuts. Not a great start when you're trying to date someone. When he kidnaps you, he wants to bring it. He really does. His hands wrap around it, but it's such an obvious act of consideration... the kind he would never do for anyone else. The kind Nightmare would notice right away. He's insanely relieved when he spots you walking around the castle with Horror and realizes he gave you a new one.
Every single time he incinerates your cane he comes to your room with a bunch of cats to apologize.
When things went south in the Underground, between the famine and the fighting with Undyne's troops, many of Horror's closest friends in Snowdin became disabled. Because of it, he's a lot more empathetic towards you than the others when you're first kidnapped. He ends up getting you a new cane after he realizes you need it and keeps a slightly closer eye on Dust. First the Stars didn't tell you about them, then they kidnapped you and plopped you in a dungeon without your cane... he really doesn't want to see you keep suffering.
Later on, he always seems to notice when you're in pain or need a break immediately, and he's definitely scolded Killer and Dust many a time for incinerating your cane or otherwise pushing you too hard in training. You're their healer, not a teleporting machine of destruction like they are. After the second time it happens, he ends up premptively buying you a few backup canes. You can never be too careful when you live with those two.
Nightmare spends multiple months believing your cane is a magic staff. He's read about humans using them in his books, and you display considerable magicâit only makes sense, really. He obviously sees you use it for walking, but it doesn't occur to him that it doesn't serve any other secret function (besides wacking Dust).
During one of your magic lessons, he gifts you a beautiful magical staff covered in gemstones. It's gorgeous... but absolutely massive and completely useless considering your healing is touch-based. Nightmare is appaled when you never bring it around, until Cross questions why you would even need a magic staff.
He never speaks of it again, other than when you tease him about it. But please... do not let Killer find out.
Cross is always a worrywart, especially in the early stages of your relationship. There were humans in Xtale, but he mostly just spent time with Chara and Frisk, especially in the last timeline... he's not fully sure what you'd want or need from him, and he's way too nervous to ask until you clock his anxious behaviour and tell him not to fuss so much. He's a perfectly good datemate, and you'd tell him if you wanted something from him. If you had days with particularly bad leg pain, he'd keep you company, even dropping missions to do so.
Dust incinerates your cane on purpose one time and never again, because Horror immediately drags him away and initiates the biggest fight they've had in years. He's not okay with food-related attacks and he's not okay with this either.
Once you're on good terms, he usually offers to teleport you long distances around the castle and fetches new canes from Horror's backup storage every time he accidentally incinerates them in training.
Error knows you're a human, you're perplexing, and if you're having a bad day you should get away from that mess of a castle and come lounge around with him instead. Occasionally he just wraps you up in his strings and brings you to the Antivoid right out from under the other's noses. If you're in pain, you should be somewhere quiet.
How would readerâs husbands feel if she got emotional over any sweet words or soft affection? Obviously not in a bad way. Just in a very touch starved and has been craving love kind of way?
Killer has been touch starved ever since his soul was corrupted. Anytime heâs in a room with you or the others, heâs hanging off of someone or curled up in their lap, often absentmindedly nuzzling them. So you craving that from him? Itâs a win-win babe. He cradles you close against his side each night and finds all the right words that have you melting in his arms.
His affection gets a little bit⌠possessive when you really get emotional, though. Where were the Stars, all those years? Why are you as starved for love as the rest of them, when you should have been safe in the Omega Timeline?
Theyâll help make you better. And when Killer canât be there for you, he knows the others will. Youâll never have to be alone again.
Cross lives to be praised. Itâs the one type of affection he almost constantly seeks from the others. So when you react emotionally the first time you lay in bed, him clutching you close and whispering sweet nothings in your ears, heâs quick to recognize why youâre so emotional.
He doubles down on the praise and affection until nothing but joy is left on your face.
Dust immediately goes quiet and retreats from the situation, because his first assumption is that you're getting emotional because it's him touching you. You don't exactly have a great history... maybe he was pushing things too fast.
It isn't until the third time it happens that Dust notices you're burrowing closer to him and twining your hand in his. You... like that he's holding you this close. Then why are you so upset? Is it because of how they treated you when you first arrived? Because the Stars left you alone for so long? Or have they neglected you?
For days afterwards, the others find Dust randomly laying in your lap, refusing to go on missions or do much of anything besides be with you. Nightmare decides to allow this behaviour, as it seems to have improved your mood.
Horror clutches your shoulders and shoves you back the first time, searching your teary eyes. Itâs fine that you like what heâs saying to you. That you like to be held while he makes dinner or waters the plants in the garden. But fuck⌠itâs just not normal for you to cry over it. Not if you had been surrounded by love as you should have. Itâs sick, really, to deny a soul whose very essence is love what you need to feel whole.
Then he pulls you back, bundling you in his arms until you feel like pulling away. Youâre okay now. Theyâre not going to hurt you anymore. No one is.
Horror discuses the incident with Dust afterwards, and the two of them lay on the sweet talk and physical affection extra thick during your next date.
Error isn't comfortable with a ton of physical affection. But if it really means THAT much to you, he supposes you can keep holding hands.
The way you flush and get all sappy at the slightest pet name from him was a bit annoying at first... but it quickly brings Error a deep sort of satisfaction. You really must be attached to him. As you should be. He's a far superior option to your harem of anomalies (plus Nightmare).
And if he says something sweet more than usual, or rests his head on your shoulder when you arrange afternoon tea for he and Nightmare.... it's only to prove he's the best of your lovers. Definitely not because he feels something deeper for your anomaly of a soul, or that the way you sigh contentedly and close your eyes at his touch makes his own soul flutter.
Nightmare is confused at first by your emotions. Time and time again, youâll curl up with one of your lovers, or stop while they whisper sweet nothings in your ear during a supply trip, and Nightmare will sense a mix quite unlike anything heâs sensed before. Elation, affection, desireâŚ. And abandonment, loneliness⌠a touch of obsession. You seem to crave them in a way beyond the love of your soul type.
When you become his lover and such an emotion rises from you, Nightmare weaves his tentacles around your limbs and holds you close, brushing your hair through his fingers. Thereâs no need to feel such loneliness with him. He is nothing like those monsters that abandoned you time and time again⌠Heâll always be there to provide the affection you seek.
Isnât it wonderful, to now have a family that truly loves you?
how would the boys feel about reader who sings in the dungeons to destress?
like a really high pitched melody echoing down the hallway when they enter lmao
Dust considers how much Nightmare would punish him for cutting out your vocal cords.
Killer would find it really upsetting, but would have to repress that emotion in front of the others. When you were alone heâd give you extra nuzzles to try to cheer you up.
Cross gets really worried. Youâve been completely alone for a long period of time, other than them terrorizing you. Itâs not good for a human mind. He tries to bring puzzles and books hidden under his jacket to help. He would have to bring them back upstairs so no one notices⌠but heâll stay for a good hour or two to give you something to do.
Horror often stops to listen and gauge your mood. If it seems like itâs genuinely chilling you out, he might hum along to the tune.
