#Repost @ladycilentochildrenshospital ・・・ Meet Tash - another one of our wonderful Starlight Children's Foundation Australia volunteers this National Volunteer Week. A volunteer for five years, Tash can be found in the Starlight Express Room at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, where she helps give patients and families a much-needed dose of comfort and happiness at the Captain's Challenge events. "I get to slime the Captain Starlights and make them eat yucky food, which the kids find hilarious." Tash says she loves volunteering because it brings joy and laughter to so many children and their families. 'I grew up being a “hospital child” after my sister fell ill and she is the reason I started volunteering with the Starlight Children’s Foundation. I just wanted to give back what was given to us.” One of her favourite experiences was when she helped grant a young girl’s wish to swim with dolphins. Tash said she is not sure who was more excited!
