“ oh. ” see, she had noticed the pain, but just not the blood. allie frowns, already a little dizzy as she picks up her hand to examine the damage she’d done on the rest of the room. “ ‘m sorry … i didn’t mean to make a mess, i just … ” well, it’s silly, isn’t it? allie knew she’d sliced open her hand in a bout of clumsiness, an accident. like dandelion fluff, always knocking into things and floating along with the wind, untethered, unbothered. she must’ve forgotten what it meant to bleed, then. allie thought it might just stay put in her palm until she found something to bandage it with. oh, well.
allie turns to him, wide-eyed. she knows there’s a scarf around here, somewhere, she’s seen it before. but, then … she’s as flighty- still wingless -as she is forgetful, so maybe her head’s made the scarf up, daydreaming. allie sighs, fretful as she realizes that she’s made a mess for no reason. the fairy girl barely holds herself back from apologizing again. “ i’m just so clumsy. ” her eyes, bright and hopeful, glance up at him, then. “ oh, um … can you help me, please? i have a … ” she points to her open palm, the bleeding one, that he’s already seen. she’s trying her best to be helpful. “ a … a little scratch. ”
