thinking about how the far enemy of karunā is cruelty and its near enemy is pity. thinking about how yeah, the far enemy of muditā is envy but its near enemy is self-identification. i wish people in the imperial core knew how to engage with buddhism beyond orientalising it to a set of vibes without name because i am such a big fan of the way buddhism conceptualises and describes things. my wonderful and super based religion
