Lil fact!! Yes Ghost types are known to be prankster type pokemon, even considered pretty evil, but to be honest they arent malevolent at all!! A lot of incidents involving ghost types where someone gets hurt, they genuinely do not mean for someone to actually die or get injured. they just wanna have a little prank laugh. A lot of ghost types are very helpful in their own right. Take shuppet for example!! It feeds off negative energy! Shuppets are used to help with anger management therapy because when the feed off the energy the person who was initially upset calms down. (Honestly I think Ghost types and Dark types are the most misunderstood pokemon given the horror stories about them)

@soyokaze-step disliking her is valid but... Is Erika in a position of power at all? She's under Bernkastel's thumb and faces threat of physical violence and death if she doesn't prove herself worthy as a piece. Her being an asshole and a bully doesn't really equate to abusive behavior. Most of Erika's behavior is motivated out of fear and crippling self doubt. Yes, you can dislike her, but it's sort of important to realize that she's not the worst person in Umineko, and I would argue Sayo has done more abusive, more manipulative things to her lovers and friends... There's a lot of gray morality in Umineko. But to say she's an abuser... I just don't see it.

Oh!!! Yes- not "historical" but i have this thing valled myths and misconceptions. While yes, Banette are toys that formed a grudge of unknown children who left them behind, i wouldnt say all are that way!! Some are formed after the passing of their original owners, not out of a grudge but from being mournful. There are also accounts Banette out there who formed as a lost toy, and mended with their trainer when recovered!!
