While I don’t think the Boleyn family would have been that bold at that point, I do think this brings up a good point, which is, narratively, Henry really came across as the abusive husband planning to kill his wife here. So I did at first thing that man in the woods was either meant as a witness to what KoA would say in private or an assassin meant to harm her.
To find that thread just dropped was a little...eh?
Because, honestly, there seemed little reason for this version of Henry not to behaving like Richard III in that Shakespeare play and kill his wife to make way for the new bride. Not that I’d be rooting for that to happen (a good number of his interactions with KoA this episode made me scared for her) but there seemed very little stopping him here.

to be fair to gregory, in the book they were no otp. frost took over with twp and this one
I was unaware of that, I’m so used tp blaming her shitty retelling of history, thanks for the heads up (I’m just sick of people treating her work like it’s actual history.) Still disappointing and gross though. And she wrote the books their based on so still kinda her fault.

@tudoraddict omg right? where’s mary?
I'm afraid they'll do like The Tudors and join Mary and Margaret story Not that I think they will have time to do much with the other characters
lauranoncrede replied to your post “I have so many thoughts about Karen and Frank and the depth of their...”
this is very interesting because i too was always bothered by that speech and couldn't tell why. the message was disturbing enough to me, though i know he didn't mean what it sounded like he meant, but you might have gotten to the point. did matt really hurt her to the point she thought she wouldn't recover? i don't think so. she was probably more frustrated and disappointed than she was hurt. so good points there.
I know that a lot of people might have misunderstood it but what Frank is telling Karen is that when you have two people in a relationship who trully love each other they carve a place so deep inside that they get to see every nook an cranny: the pretty and the ugly, the good and the bad, your strenghts and weaknesses. To experience this kind of love you have to let your walls down so the other can enter. It’s giving them this much power while trusting them to never abuse it. That’s how Frank felt about his wife. But if you want an example of what Frank was talking about you can look at how Frank reacted when Billy confessed his betrayal. We never got to see Frank like that before. That’s someone being torn apart. I don’t remember seeing Frank crying with tears running down his face in that way before. The tone of his voice when he asked Billy if he pulled the trigger on his wife and kids? Frank is almost pleading Billy to deny it, to say that he didn’t commit this ultimate act or even to say no to all, that everything was a misunderstanding. If it were anyone else, Frank wouldn’t have shed a tear, he wouldn’t be so affected. Frank loved Billy, he was his brother, he was family. Frank allowed Billy inside and trusted him and Billy abused this trust completely and tore Frank apart.
And in The Punisher we see that Frank considers Karen family, that he loves her that much already to the point of almost panicking at the treat of a terrorist coming after her and of taking a bullet meant for her. Karen is already inside Frank and Karen’s walls are mostly down because Frank already sees what she conceals from everyone else so I think it’s safe to say that he’s closer than anyone else ever got since her brother/family probably?

replied to your post “This might sound harsh but I really hope Karen and Foggy don’t make it...”
They should definitely let Karen and Foggy be pissed at Matt for a minute. I'm not asking for too much I think, just normal human behavior when your "best friend" is a complete asshole to you
Exactly, it just wouldn’t sit right with me if they forgave him easily. He needs to work his ass off to rebuild those relationships. After rewatching both seasons of DD and Defenders I realized Matt did a lot of damage to the people and things he’s supposed to care most about.
He didn’t just throw away his friends, teammates [Danny, Luke and Jessica], and his career; Matt threw away the city he vowed to protect. And he did it for a toxic woman who doesn’t even really love him.That to me is unforgivable. So personally I think he should be put through the ringer in DD3 and earn back his right to be Daredevil. just as he should work hard to make amends with those he hurt tremendously.
