Launch Site to give Orlando gamedevs access to Talon Chair for the first time
Talon Simulations and Launch Site have partnered together to present the Launch Site Talon Challenge. The Launch Site Talon Challenge is a game jam allowing Orlando game developers exclusive access to the Talon Chair for the very first time. Starting March 3, challengers will be given an introduction to the Talon Chair, told their challenges, and will divide into teams to create Oculus VR games with the opportunity to win prizes. The challenge lasts until April 1 and challengers will have access to Launch Site’s Dev Lab Workspace by appointment until then.
The Talon Chair is a full cockpit motion simulator used for both entertainment and training purposes developed by Talon Simulations. Through the use of Oculus VR, people are able to ride roller coasters, operate vehicles, and even pilot giant Mechas. Orlando game developers who purchase a $20 pass will gain access to the Talon Chair and Oculus Rift for their development time. This challenge marks the very first time Talon Chair has let the public use their hardware for development.
