Btw it hit me all over again that in all the handshakes/touches of the series, it isn't until ep93 when Lauren calls Kieran 'partner' that she actually properly holds his hand.

The significance of Lauren embracing the idea of having Kieran White (as a human being, as the Purple Hyacinth, as the man who's helping her save innocent lives) as her partner not only factually on paper or in terms of their deal but also in good faith in the very essence of the word 'partner' with her emotions stemming from their deal balanced and her mind burdened by hope and consideration for him in the best way possible and THEN being the one to extend a hand to him... OH it is not lost on me at all.

PS=monarchy if you consider their crimes)#so she forgives herself (is in the process still) and Kieran (eventually) or at least starts to acknowledge all that she had been blind to-#-whether it was by naïveté of her circumstance or saboteur-isque ignorance stemming from her guilt or the privilege she was born with #AND ALSO IT IS IN 93 THAT KIERAN'S HAND IS BRUISED AND HE IS INJURED SHOWING THE REALITY OF HIS LIFE WITHIN THE SCYTHE #MEANWHILE LAUREN HASN'T FULLY RECOVERED FROM THE TRUTH OF HER PARENTS AKA THE REALITY OF HER LIFE #not Lauren acknowledging Kieran properly as her partner when both of them are at their rawest/most honest I CAN'T #by the GODS i missed this: going feral
