This is actually a really nice depiction of their relationship dynamics. It wasn't until today that I realized that Lauren and Kieran are pulling in the same direction, but Kym and Will are straining their forces against each other.
There's that wonder on Kym's face because she knows Will differently than anyone else. She knows him as he is, when he takes off the masks he normally wears as an actor in the theatrical performance of his life. She knows him imperfect, emotional, angry, tired. Human.
Sometimes it's not pleasant, because those moments when Kym makes him break down some of his walls are also the moments when she pisses him off, but it still means that she is completely unique to him, because no one else can do this and no one else can see him without the masks and without the walls.
I know we read 'truckload of spice' in Eph's update and collectively imploded but... spice isn't just Lauki is it?

Siblings
Two abandoned siblings who suddenly discover that they may have more in common than they thought. Kym doesn't tell everyone about her sister (Lauren does, but Lauren is an exception), she's known Will for two years, and he had no idea until now. I think if Kym hadn't seen what happened and hadn't heard Will's conversation with Rafael, things would have stayed the way they are. But Will is, like her, a sibling who was left alone. And it doesn't matter if the one who's gone is dead or just so far away that there's no way back. Like her, Will is a child who lost the other half of his soul. Kym understands and knows this well, and so she can tell Will about Deana and the beautiful memories she has of her and that remembering the good heals the soul, and even if it never stops hurting, it's worth trying.
