Earlier this summer I was one of three photographers who helped shoot a big story in the @washingtonpost on black motherhood and it came out the end of last week (link in profile). The brief was to shoot Latham Thomas (@glowmaven) leading a round table discussion about black motherhood at @mamaglow. And three of those images ran in the story. But since I was going to be with these amazing women, I wanted to do a little more, so I brought a little backdrop and afterwards asked if I could shoot portraits of them. And was thrilled to see that the Post ran portraits of each of them along with quotes of what motherhood, pregnancy, the discussion, etc. meant to them.
