So did you ever meet Aaliyah and how was it like hanging with her?
I went to certain projects with Missy, and from there I met Aaliyah. What I remember about Aaliyah is her being just this ball of joy. She was always happy and immediately embraced me like family. I remember we were on the “If Your Girl Only Knew” video set, and Aaliyah just made everyone so comfortable and welcome around her. She was an angel.
You’ve also had a lot of collaborations with many artists and many big names. Is there one that stands out to you?
I always say Aaliyah stands out because we had the most fun in the studio laughing and joking for hours. "Final Warning" was a four minute song but it took us the whole day to do it because we were playing around the whole time. It just makes you always remember the times you had with her.
