Red Giant, the magazine "For the best in adventure games!," issue 1, Folio Works Ltd, circa 1990. Folio Works was the publisher of Fantasy Warlord, a 25mm fantasy battle game that attempted to compete directly with Warhammer. Red Giant seems to have been discontinued after only 2 issues. I don't know for sure whether Games Workshop's lawyers had a hand in that, but they might not have been amused by the similarity of the title to GW's White Dwarf, also coincidentally named for a star magnitude.
Red Giant included some recycled content, for example the "Sunstroke SF scenario" mentioned on the cover. That originally appeared in GDW's Challenge magazine 36 in 1988, credited to Roger Hamlin, and introduced the Little Sisters of Purification space marine chapter. For some reason the article in Red Giant was credited to Rowena Dell or Rowena Bell on different pages, and was edited slightly to remove the art and replace the Warhammer 40K stats with Laserburn stats. The bad puns about planet Lukaas and the city of Speelburg remained.
