Ok, so I've got a thing for natural materials. And I've got a thing for independent craftsman. I met Ryan (@ryankrusac) Sunday at the Los Angeles Pen Show. And WOW--how do people resist these phenomenal wooden pens?! I couldn't. I'll post pics of the one I nabbed soon. It is part of this, his Legend series, now up for two @penworldmagazine design awards. And I can vouch--in the hand the design is stunning, the weight and balance is great, the ebonite section is super comfy, the Jowo #6 nib is excellent and his logo is tasteful and small and striking--bravo. If you like fountain pens, consider this--wouldn't you rather own a one-of-a-kind item and support a person working for themselves and their family rather than giving your money to a big company and have a pen that looks like thousands of others? You know my answer! Pen shows make everyone happy! I was very glad to see @KarasKustoms at the #lapenshow this year. Word is they'll be in Atlanta, too.
