"Fleeting Flames'

Amidst night's embrace,
I gaze up to the starry sky,
Jealous of their shine.
Their radiance so bright,
While I remain in shadow,
Invisible, unseen.
But then, a realization:
Stars burn out, fade away,
Lost to the abyss.
And so I weep, for even stars
Are but fleeting beings,
And my envy is for naught.
my tree changes with the seasons. i watch, and wait till i do the same.
