(Notes I took watching @japaneseammo_misa video on "mean(ing)". I took A LOT of notes, so this will be broken into parts. All my reviews will be written in my native language, English:) 1. 意味(いみ) <PART I>: "meaning." This word is a noun and can be used like so... ◇What does (A) mean? •(A)ってどういう意味?(*more native) •(A)は何(なに)? •(A)って何(なに)?(more casual than ~は何?) ◇(A) means (B) [⚠️If (A) already mentioned, don't repeat it.] What does "あっている" mean? It means "correct," "right" (etc.) What does "ミスる" mean? It's slang, and it means "to fail." 🔴PRO TIP: it's best to always use formal speech in Japanese unless you're friends with the person you're speaking with. Most won't tell you if you're being obnoxious or rude, so always be polite and only use casual forms when they are comfortable with you.
