i made a firefox extension that hides translations in babbel! always seeing the translated text makes it hard for me to exercise my brain to figure out what things mean on my own. now i can hide translations when i don't want to see them!
the extension adds a button to the top toolbar in lessons that shows or hides translations. you can also press ctrl+` (that's a backtick) on your keyboard so that you don't have to switch to your mouse.
this addon should also work on firefox for android, but i haven't tested it myself.

Itโs cool to have free language lessons, the site is well-made, Iโve mostly enjoyed using it, but Iโve come to feel uneasy about a business model built on advertising, on exploiting the work of unpaid volunteers in order to grow more and more up to the point where theyโre preparing for an IPO (and as we all know, a software company going public generally goes steadily in hand with shittier service, abuse of the its users, etc.
