Fun Friday project. Ripped out a big cedar hedge and a bunch of rock rose and put in 23 strong 7' yew hedge. Don't worry we removed the twine and pulled the burlap down off the collars. Only kept them on until we had each one faced and positioned appropriately. We won't shear these babies until next year because we want to direct all the plants energy into making roots rather than top growth. This will ensure the plants survival. We top dressed the bed with mulch which will put nutrients into the existing soil, protect the soil structure, keep weeds down and helps your soil retain moisture. #horticulture #landscapehorticulture #plantnerd #plantsarecool #yew #taxus
