#landscape thumbnails

I decided to work with the thumbnail shown below since I liked the idea behind it. 

I will use this landscape base for my animation. There should be fog in the background wit a desaturated blue tinge. The ground will be a deep red to signify Autumn leaves but also to represent “danger”. The trees will be very dark and snow should be dotted around the area. 

1) Beware signs are shown on the sign posts directing down the path. Snow gathered around the base of the trees. Low lying leaves should frame the image. Red leaves make the path to walk on. Trees fade out into the distance due to the fog. 

2) Potential positioning of characters in space. Framing with trees/leaves could make the characters seem trapped in the space. Suitable for “Haunted Forest” - as though there is no escape. 

3) This image shows how with a lower viewing angle the trees will appear to crowd over the heads of the characters. The leaves will also add to the enclosed feel by looking like they are reaching down to grab the characters. Creates leading lines for focus.
