what do you think of the idea that Blue sees Lance as her son?
like she took one good look at that boy and was like “yep he’s my child now.”
Honestly, I can’t see them any other way. Like—just look at them. It’s such a perfect dynamic.
I actually had a whole theory/headcanon that the Lions felt their paladins long before they ever met them. And sometimes I imagine them all chilling in the hangars, and Blue just casually bragging that she was there for every stage of Lance’s growth.
Like, “Oh, your paladin almost died in battle once? That’s cute. I watched mine cry over getting picked last in gym class.”
Also, I love finding those Pinterest memes and posts about them—especially the ones where Blue’s all like: “Red, protect Lance.” And then immediately, “No, I mean it. If something happens to my child I will personally disassemble you and sell your parts for scrap.”
She’s so possessive and soft about him and I eat it up every time.
P.S. I honestly think all the Lions see their paladins as their kids. Like, default terms of endearment are “my cub” and “my child.” And you know they have these little internal pride meetings where they sit around discussing what their kids did, how they did it, and why they’re the most special beings in the entire universe.
