Finished the LAN Driver Installation or Update

First, check that you have finished the first two work which needed to manually install or update the LAN driver or port in an Integrated x series Server or for the Virtual Ethernet.

Begin the LAN driver installation or update.

Select the adapter to install or update.

To finish the LAN driver or port installation or update, take the advantage of the one of the following method that suitable for your situation.

If you are using the Windows server 2000 or you have the directed to install the LAN driver from the specific folder for the Windows 2003 server.

You are using the Windows 2003 Server and have not actually been directed to install the LAN driver form the specific location.

If you are using the Windows server 2000 or you have the directed to install the LAN driver from the specific folder for the Windows 2003 server then you have to follow the following steps to finish the LAN Driver installation or update.

Step 1: - First of all you have to choose the option “Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver and as you choose that option click on the Next button. Step 2: - Now you have to press the option Have a Disk so that you may open the Install From Disk option dialog box and then there you specify your destination folder of the driver.

However if you were directed to install the driver from the specific drive or from the folder then you have to just click on the browse to specify the place, and then press the Open button.

Normally you click browse to specify the location on the system drive default drive C of the driver which corresponds to the adapter that you are generally installing or updating now. You can also take advantage of the list to find the folder that contains the driver for your specific hardware.

Step 3: - Then after press the OK button to move forward. Step 4: - Now one dialog will open having the Update Device Driver Wizard, if you think it’s not appropriate driver which is highlighted already then you can change it and choose the other one from the list and then click on the Next button. Step 5: - Once again you have to press the Next button. Step 6: - However if there is the Ret Code 22 when you update the Driver procedure finished, and the adapter may be disabling. Then to make it enable the adapter, in the following cases in the Device Manger window, give a right click make the disable dater option into the enable adapter. Step 7: - Normally if you would like to install or updates more adapter then have a look in the Select the adapter to install or update option. Step 8: - And if you make change in the driver signing policy when you begin the installation or update then look in the Begin the LAN driver installation or update, and then again restore the original policy.
