METZGER 1848 DEBUTTA AL CANELLI BEER FEST  Ci sono marchi che seguono le tendenze e altri che attraversano il tempo. Metzger 1848 appartiene alla seconda categoria. There Does Not Exist Heavy Wings Pilsner (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. A really great pilsner -- nice light grain sweetness with a little bit of grass and lemon in the hop profile. There's more complexity to the malt profile than you expect up front, and the hops add a nice touch to this clean and quite excellent beer.

Divine Science Divine Millsner (Thanks, Isaac!). A 3 of 4. Made with millet, this is actually quite tasty -- you can tell it's not a traditional pilsner, but it has some nice bready notes that you'd expect and a faint bit of floral and grassy hops. Has a slight haziness to it, and a nice bit of lacing, too.

Parsons North Dry Hopped Pilsner, 5.5% abv
Russian River 110 West Coast Pils (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. Obviously I'm not drinking this blind, but it manages to have a relatively clear Russian River profile, I'm assuming from the hop profile. The light pilsner body is great and clean and simple like you'd hope for and expect. The nose is nice and classic with quite a bit of pine/resin and a bit of orange citrus and floral notes too. If it were easier to, I'd love to have this regularly.
Humble Sea New Sealand NZ Style Pils (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Smells as you'd expect with NZ hops more prominent than I was expecting -- nice tropical touch. The body is a pretty standard pilsner with some of the tropical notes present, and then a light and crisp finish.
