Oc-tober Day 4: Pet

I an rapid postin these last few days lol. All sketches cuz uh. I been busy but i wanna share these ocs. This one is simple, I just needed to sketch a design for this big ol bugger. They're a part of the Wondering Ashes story lololol but I have no idea what to call em or what their species name will be. All I knew that has stayed constant is "big dark lizard".

This is an old "lagar", powered by animal traction, a round stone pit where olives are crushed to extract their oil. Former ones har only one wheel and were smaller, used by families to produce their own olive oil. The person conducting the donkey is the "lagareira", and that gives name to some of the best codfish plates in Portuguese restaurants worlwide, as "Bacalhau à Lagareira". The raw product from the lagar pressings has a profound green colour, a wonderful aroma of the fruit and a density comparable to that of honey. It is not clear because it is unfiltered and contains remains of the olive pulps. All in all, it is a nectar everyone should taste once in his lifetime, but hard (thus expensive) to find.
