the mrunal hate online needs to stop
i will keep it brief. what mrunal said back when she was 19, ie, in 2012, (she's 33 now) was wrong, mean, and straight up stupid. it clearly stemmed out of insecurity, jealousy and a lack of awareness about consequences of her words.
but that was 2012, when literally everyone around me use to say things like moti, kali or paagal without the slightest remorse, including the mature, the stupid, the rich and the poor. doesn't make it any less wrong ofc, but i'd like yall to realise she wasn't the only actor in the industry thinking this way and acting so.
but ever since then, such behaviour from mrunal has not been recorded.
what i really have an issue with is how overstretched this topic has become, and this too has it's roots in misogyny. and in my expl. the victim is mrunal. for mere words, which did not even harm bipasha at that time or now, mrunal has been dragged through the mud, by media, the genz and the millenials alike on the internet.
but men, literally get away with rape and sexual harrasment, with lesser backlash. like sure, dislike mrunal all you want but then make sure you speak against the following people too with more vigor-
sajid khan (accused by nine women for sexual harrasment) shyam kaushal, vicky and sunny kaushal's father (accused of harrasment by an actress, was defended by his sons) shiney ahuja (convicted of rape by court, released on bail to work in welcome back) shakti kapoor, aman varma, vikas bahl, anu malik... and the list of men in the industry who took their side is even longer. ~also, anyone better not dare question mrunal's talent as an actor if they have never watched the gem that is 'love sonia'.
