Ask me stuff
48: Do I live with my Mom and Dad?
I do, actually. We live in a small apartment above the family business, which means that itās always a trip (pre-covid) to order pizza or something in the middle of the night because the delivery person would show up and be likeĀ ā...This canāt be right.ā It also means that our dogs get to go to work with us! Although, sometimes, someone has a fear of dogs so we have to send them back upstairs. As soon as I land a job in graphic design and I enough savings, though, I plan on getting my own place.Ā
65: Do I believe in luck?
Why, Mr. Spock, you almost make me believe in miracles.
I do believe in luck - both good and bad! Iām actually pretty superstitious? I say āDONāT JINX IT!ā out loud when someone says something is going well and I Literally Knock-On-Wood (tap walls, tables, etc.) in order to try and cancel out a jinx. I donāt believe in the salt or black cats or ladders thing, though.Ā
81: My top 5 blogs on tumblr
OOF I DONāT KNOW!! I feel like iām going to accidentally leave someone out and feel like a Terrible Person. I am going to give this a shot though. Just know that if you arenāt on this list that I didnāt intentionally exclude you - this is was just came to mind first.
@drawsmaddy makes WONDERFUL daforge art and I always look forward to her posts! and because weāre all mutuals iād be remiss if I didnāt include @intergalacticpanic here, who you should DEFINITELY follow if you love geordi la forge. holly is THE resident expert of geordi-posting.
@marlinspirkhall always has something funny or interesting to say about TOS. Also theyāre writing a musical, so thatās dope.Ā
@kirksfattitties I just recently discovered his blog and he is SO FUNNY, please check out his TOS and TAS posts.Ā
@trek-tracks is, as @princenimoyĀ (who you should follow too because sheās an expert on early zines, fanfic, and official star trek novels; sheās responsible for uploading a full copy of the Alien Brothers zine which includes one of the EARLIEST and most IN CHARACTER fics ever writtenĀ āRings of Soshernā - which was thought to be lost to time.) put it, the Resident Bard. she is extremely funny and extremely talented at writing poetry. she also hosts something called ātrek watchā sometimes, which where people vote on what TOS episodes they want to watch and then we all get together in one big group chat/livestream deal and experience it together. itās also where iāve been introduced to those cursed star trek videos. Like,Ā ācaptain kirk is climbing a mountainā,Ā āwilliam shatnerĀ āāāāsingsāāāā rocket manā, andĀ āstar trekkin.ā Keep an eye out for future trek watches, theyāre super fun!!
NEETOLS!!!! Who has a lot of blogs.Ā @dingonato is their personal blog, where they make GALAXY BRAIN spock posts that I ADORE. They draw a LOT of spirk stuff and post it on @neetols (art blog) OR @kolinar (star trek art blog) - usually AOS but occasionally TOS. They also write fic!
Thereās DEFINITELY more but, again, this is just what came to mind right away!
It's funny that you're posting about that baking show! I was trying to find this documentary earlier today about Vietnamese nail salon owners and couldn't because it has the same name as the show, Nailed It. š¤ I'd never even heard of the show but now I'm seeing all these different versions they've put out.
Ok but I really love the show??
I binged it all weekend and I love it. Like a lot. Its about amateur bakers who have to make professional level cakes in a time limit and well hilarity ensues.Ā Ā
This is my favorite result by the way:
Holy crap! That visual novel looks amazing! What would help you complete it faster? Do you need funding??
Wow you are so sweet! Iād considered having a funding option for the game, but I figured since the characters/images arenāt mind I might get into copyright trouble.
The game will be free, but I might have aĀ āpay whatever youāre willing to payā option or maybe a tipping system.Ā
I think Iām 2/3rds of the way through with the writing process, but I still have some image editing to do. And I want to try adding music and voice effects to make the game really special for you guys.Ā
This entire experience is a learning process since Iāve never done something like this before. Plus Iām working two jobs right now so progress has been slower than Iād like but once the writingās done the rest shooouuuld come a little quicker.
Thank you so much for your support! Let me know what you think of the payment/tipping ideas!

šŖ- scariest/creepiest experience?
My three friends and I went to a club in Atlanta for a bachelorette party. I was tipsy at the most by the time we got there, although the others in the party were drinking freely. As we danced and tried to enjoy ourselves, two men kept trying to come up and grind on my friend or ask her to dance. They followed us across the dance floor, and at one point I even stepped in between them and her to make them leave her alone. We decided to leave after about 30 minutes and walk to the Waffle House across the parking lot to call our taxi, but the men followed us out of the club and into the WaHo. We eventually got a taxi and the men were momentarily caught up talking to a waitress so we fucking ran out to the taxi. When we got inside, the men came up to the outside of the taxi, pounding on the windows and trying to get in with us. Regardless of if they truly had bad intentions or were just being drunk assholes, it was fucking terrifying.

Fic request!! š¤ White and Billy getting dinner after work together?
Another long uneventful day at Ventech, Billy and White dashed out. They clocked out in record time. Both were trying to avoid their friend/boss could weasel his way into getting them to stay late for āworkā, something both knew was code for āStay and get drunk with me so I donāt have to confront how pathetic drinking alone isā.
White, hands deep in his white coat waited until they were out of the building on the way home before turning to his āpartner in crimeā. He really wasnāt in the mood to cook that night or listen to any of Team Venturesā stories. He jabbed his right thumb out in the direction of a newly opened restaurant.
āHow about we treat ourselves?ā he asked. Before Billy could protest, White sweetened the deal with a curt āIāll pay for both of us.ā
Almost on cue, Billyās stomach growled. Never one to pass up a free meal, he agreed and the duo headed towards the modest crowd of people. As they approached, White could not help but notice the crowd seemed kind of coupley. He didnāt think much of it, the aroma of hot melting cheese overriding his common sense.
Surprisingly, they didnāt wait in the line that long, a welcome surprise. A waif of a waiter came by, rattled off a list of specials, dropped off menus and then hurried off to get their drinks.
The meal was actually really good, something Billy was mumbling concerns over from the moment they sat down. Check arrived, White pulled out his own personal credit card and paid the bill. Rolling his eyes, he made sure to tip the waiter Billyās āstandardā of 14%. The meal was good and the waiter didnāt stare at them or make any offputting comments about the two of them. Was enough to have White keep his mouth shut.
On their way home, White felt. Giggly. Must be the wine and the way the sky was clear, the sky a blanket of stars. Billy stumbled into him and White couldnāt help the way his hand clasped around the manās shoulders. Like they were meant to be there. Eyes made contact and he couldnāt help the goofy grin on his face. Billyās cheeks turned red as his hair and White looked away.
Another night of missed opportunities.
Rusty and Brock cooking!
Iām so drunk. this gonna be the most romance.

your post:
kinda often this dude comes out and parks in our...
Whhhyyyyyy??? would you go outside and talk to some stranger like that and on top of that ask them to turn their music...
b-because it was really really loud and itās nighttime and thatās just shitty and rude and I want to suffer through it? He wasnāt like, aggressive or anything but, i dunno, Iām just very anxious haha. Thereās 8 apts in my building and I only pointed in the general direction of several buildings but of course Iām a little paranoid about someone being upset or just shitty with me because I said anything at all. Like? If someone was blasting music so loud it was vibrating your walls at 4 am would you sit through it? Iād be so mad. Thatās exactly what happened to my roommate too and he went to ask the guy to turn it down then too. Iām just very nervous in general but I donāt think what I did was wrong or anything, but you never know with people and itās risky to do anything at all because some people will use it to justify terrible actions.
Basically what Iām saying is itās a shitty position to be in haha. Do I just suffer while someone acts like a jackass? Or do I risk something by politely asking someone to turn their music down? I dunno!
