48: Do I live with my Mom and Dad?

I do, actually. We live in a small apartment above the family business, which means that it’s always a trip (pre-covid) to order pizza or something in the middle of the night because the delivery person would show up and be like “...This can’t be right.” It also means that our dogs get to go to work with us! Although, sometimes, someone has a fear of dogs so we have to send them back upstairs. As soon as I land a job in graphic design and I enough savings, though, I plan on getting my own place. 

65: Do I believe in luck?

Why, Mr. Spock, you almost make me believe in miracles.

I do believe in luck - both good and bad! I’m actually pretty superstitious? I say “DON’T JINX IT!” out loud when someone says something is going well and I Literally Knock-On-Wood (tap walls, tables, etc.) in order to try and cancel out a jinx. I don’t believe in the salt or black cats or ladders thing, though.

OOF I DON’T KNOW!! I feel like i’m going to accidentally leave someone out and feel like a Terrible Person. I am going to give this a shot though. Just know that if you aren’t on this list that I didn’t intentionally exclude you - this is was just came to mind first.

@drawsmaddy makes WONDERFUL daforge art and I always look forward to her posts! and because we’re all mutuals i’d be remiss if I didn’t include @intergalacticpanic here, who you should DEFINITELY follow if you love geordi la forge. holly is THE resident expert of geordi-posting.

@marlinspirkhall always has something funny or interesting to say about TOS. Also they’re writing a musical, so that’s dope. 

@kirksfattitties I just recently discovered his blog and he is SO FUNNY, please check out his TOS and TAS posts. 

@trek-tracks is, as @princenimoy (who you should follow too because she’s an expert on early zines, fanfic, and official star trek novels; she’s responsible for uploading a full copy of the Alien Brothers zine which includes one of the EARLIEST and most IN CHARACTER fics ever written “Rings of Soshern” - which was thought to be lost to time.) put it, the Resident Bard. she is extremely funny and extremely talented at writing poetry. she also hosts something called “trek watch” sometimes, which where people vote on what TOS episodes they want to watch and then we all get together in one big group chat/livestream deal and experience it together. it’s also where i’ve been introduced to those cursed star trek videos. Like, “captain kirk is climbing a mountain”, “william shatner “”””sings”””” rocket man”, and “star trekkin.” Keep an eye out for future trek watches, they’re super fun!!

NEETOLS!!!! Who has a lot of blogs.  @dingonato is their personal blog, where they make GALAXY BRAIN spock posts that I ADORE. They draw a LOT of spirk stuff and post it on @neetols (art blog) OR @kolinar (star trek art blog) - usually AOS but occasionally TOS. They also write fic!

Ok but I really love the show??

I binged it all weekend and I love it. Like a lot. Its about amateur bakers who have to make professional level cakes in a time limit and well hilarity ensues.  

Wow you are so sweet! I’d considered having a funding option for the game, but I figured since the characters/images aren’t mind I might get into copyright trouble.

The game will be free, but I might have a “pay whatever you’re willing to pay” option or maybe a tipping system. 

I think I’m 2/3rds of the way through with the writing process, but I still have some image editing to do. And I want to try adding music and voice effects to make the game really special for you guys. 

This entire experience is a learning process since I’ve never done something like this before. Plus I’m working two jobs right now so progress has been slower than I’d like but once the writing’s done the rest shooouuuld come a little quicker.

🔪- scariest/creepiest experience?

Another long uneventful day at Ventech, Billy and White dashed out. They clocked out in record time. Both were trying to avoid their friend/boss could weasel his way into getting them to stay late for “work”, something both knew was code for “Stay and get drunk with me so I don’t have to confront how pathetic drinking alone is”.

White, hands deep in his white coat waited until they were out of the building on the way home before turning to his “partner in crime”. He really wasn’t in the mood to cook that night or listen to any of Team Ventures’ stories. He jabbed his right thumb out in the direction of a newly opened restaurant.

“How about we treat ourselves?” he asked. Before Billy could protest, White sweetened the deal with a curt “I’ll pay for both of us.”

Almost on cue, Billy’s stomach growled. Never one to pass up a free meal, he agreed and the duo headed towards the modest crowd of people. As they approached, White could not help but notice the crowd seemed kind of coupley. He didn’t think much of it, the aroma of hot melting cheese overriding his common sense.

Surprisingly, they didn’t wait in the line that long, a welcome surprise. A waif of a waiter came by, rattled off a list of specials, dropped off menus and then hurried off to get their drinks.

The meal was actually really good, something Billy was mumbling concerns over from the moment they sat down. Check arrived, White pulled out his own personal credit card and paid the bill. Rolling his eyes, he made sure to tip the waiter Billy’s “standard” of 14%. The meal was good and the waiter didn’t stare at them or make any offputting comments about the two of them. Was enough to have White keep his mouth shut.

On their way home, White felt. Giggly. Must be the wine and the way the sky was clear, the sky a blanket of stars. Billy stumbled into him and White couldn’t help the way his hand clasped around the man’s shoulders. Like they were meant to be there. Eyes made contact and he couldn’t help the goofy grin on his face. Billy’s cheeks turned red as his hair and White looked away.

Whhhyyyyyy??? would you go outside and talk to some stranger like that and on top of that ask them to turn their music...

b-because it was really really loud and it’s nighttime and that’s just shitty and rude and I want to suffer through it? He wasn’t like, aggressive or anything but, i dunno, I’m just very anxious haha. There’s 8 apts in my building and I only pointed in the general direction of several buildings but of course I’m a little paranoid about someone being upset or just shitty with me because I said anything at all. Like? If someone was blasting music so loud it was vibrating your walls at 4 am would you sit through it? I’d be so mad. That’s exactly what happened to my roommate too and he went to ask the guy to turn it down then too. I’m just very nervous in general but I don’t think what I did was wrong or anything, but you never know with people and it’s risky to do anything at all because some people will use it to justify terrible actions.
