I am finally binding a typeset made for me during the 2025 Renegade Typeset exchange by the marvelous Mick of Silent Sun Press. I am moving at the speed of light! (this is very timely, halfway through the year, shhh!)
If you are familiar with this series, you will know there is some steamy shibari going on! I thought coptic endbands would be amazing to reflect that scene, and that is what inspired this design.
I wanted to show off that blue rope against black and white plating, so i covered the spines of each signature with alternating black and white strips of paper.
While I was binding, I had the great fortune to take a marbling class with Pietro Accardi. An amazing marbler and also a hoot to have as a teacher. He had some marbled paper for sale during class, and these metallics really said "transformers" to me.
The paper on the inside of the covers is from the Take It or Leave It table at the Renegade Retreat from 2025. So many good memories in these books!
For those interested, I’ve also included this fanbinding in the Renegade Publishing Fanbindings collection on AO3, located here.
ladydragon76 is the first author I every made a fanbind for, so I was thrilled to get this typeset and delighted to send the author another book. The cycle of fan art continues!

As the last hatchling's spark fades within the pod, the last seeker sinks to his knees in anguish. On another planet, the last Prime worries for the fate of his people despite the new peace.
This is my first completed fanbinding! I made a copy for myself and another for the author. I am so excited to hold it in my hands 😊
I fell in love with this red marbled lokta paper, and since I was halfway there already, I chose blue/white for the endbands, just to go full OP/Starscream colors.
I did not plan far enough ahead to have the same endpapers for both books, but I think both choices worked out well!
I really loved how the typesetting worked out! The title font here is Origin Tech, and I just really enjoyed working with it.
Coincidentally, I managed to get my book to the author just before Fan Fiction Writer Appreciation Day! LadyDragon76 is a prolific author, and I have enjoyed many of their stories! I could not have a fabulous bound book without a fabulous story to put in it 🥰
Many thanks to the folks at @renegadepublishing, who are generous with their time, inventive with their ideas, and just all around nice folks!

My next archive is the classic Crackalackalicious, by LadyDragon76. This started years ago as a human AU set in the Bayverse, and it has turned into an an exploration of the human condition throughout the years. Each chapter is thoroughly warned for in the beginning notes, and there are some chapters I can’t read, but the entire story is worth looking through.

ladydragon76 replied to your post “It has come to my attention that the Barbarian!AU fics are accused of...”
Pretty sure at this point the troll is just continuing to engage with you for the reblogs and attention, Kit. In fact, I'm pretty sure the whole thing has been a ploy for attention given she trolled a bunch of authors on their AO3 fics back a while ago and it never panned out there, so of course bring the wank to tumblr. You can't get someone to listen when their head's that far up their ass.
Yeah, you’re probably right. It’s the first time I had to face with this, so naturally I tried to argue reasonably - to no success. So, yes, it’s the best to just ignore the troll.
