she polishes and sharpens her weapons a LOT. even when it isnt really necessary, she will do it. it calms her in a way, not having to think, making sure her hands are kept busy doing something. maiev is very good at playing the calm, stoic, never-moving watcher but she can be prone to restlessness. 

she, like illidan, takes 9 steps when pacing. it came from him, the fact he could not pace any more than that. she would follow his steps as a mocking gesture, but it soon became part of her routine as well. 

she also prays to elune daily. i like to think theres a special place in which she does it, away from the gaze of others. the prays differ daily, mostly they’re calm, rational, non-specific. “mother moon, please watch over my wardens and myself” things along that vein. however, sometimes, she rants. she gets angry. she can spend anywhere from 2 minutes to 2 hours praying to the moon goddess. elune rarely answers 

I have thought about this. Also. Maiev: here use my cloak as a pillow :) :) Illidan: there’s knives sticking out of it. They’ll impale my head. Maiev: it’s really comfy :):)

she probably mentions it in conversation with her wardens and they just roll with it. like maiev is discussing tactics when theyre tracking illidan and goes off onto a tangent about what gorgeous hair he has
